Also from the above link:

"The search is centered on the Tower Landfill at 8480 Tower Road in Commerce City, according to Littleton Police.

"It's unpleasant, but we feel like it's one of those things we have to do," Commander Trent Cooper said. "We're at a point in our investigation where you know we feel like we owe it to Charlene's family and the community to do everything we can to bring her home so her family has closure."

Officers and volunteers started sifting through pounds of garbage looking for Voight's belongings or even her remains. The search will continue for an undetermined length of time but could last a few weeks up to five months.

"We're in this for the long haul. This is not a sprint, this is a marathon and you know we could be out here for months so it's going to be a long-term, ongoing operation for us," said Cooper."

"Roughly 20 people, including those who can operate heavy machinery will continue to pore through the garbage, which they say is fairly well sorted by date deposited. As for what police are on the hunt for, they said just about anything.

"We are looking for any evidence. It could be evidence related to the case, or it could be remains," the police official said.

Police say the investigation led them to the landfill at this point, but couldn't say why they're searching the landfill in November, months after Voight's disappearance in July.

"It's just the flow of the investigation. The investigation has been ongoing and it finally came to the point that we could do this," the police official said."

Charlene Voight, 36, had just moved to Littleton, Colorado from her family's home in Southern California when she disappeared. The move, in part, was so she could finally be with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Jeff Beir. The "always happy" blonde had just graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Landscape Architecture, and she was excited to start a new career. After not hearing from their daughter for several days, which was extremely unusual, Charlene's parents reported her missing on July 8, 2016. A few weeks after Charlene vanished, her boyfriend Beir was arrested on unrelated charges of sexual assault involving another woman. Several weeks ago, authorities began conducting a search of a landfill north of Denver in connection with the case. It's unclear what evidence, if any, was recovered.

I can't believe there isn't any new news on this story.

Bump. It's been five months since my last post.

Denver7 Investigates first reported there was suspicious blood spatter on a headboard inside an apartment police searched in regards to the case; a mattress was missing from the apartment, and a portion of carpet had been cut out and removed from the apartment, according to authorities.

On Wednesday, law enforcement sources confirmed to Denver7 Investigates that the landfill search concluded March 10 after four months.

And though the search did not turn up Voight’s body or the missing mattress, law enforcement sources tell Denver7 Investigates that they did find some of her clothes.

A google search of her name yielded these results. I snipped in the key points of the article. This does not sound good at all, especially given that the mattress and portions of the carpet were removed and disposed of. Prayers for Charlene :(

So the available information seems to point rather clearly towards her boyfriend whom LE let walk on subsequent rape charges so as not to spoil their murder evidence. That was over a year ago and apparently nothing else has been released to the public since. Scary. http://www.9news.com/news/local/inv...ex-assault-charges-in-separate-case/313063700
Whitepages shows him still living in the area but the address they give resolves to a large supermarket.

The last post on this was three months ago. Does anyone know if she's been found?

Nope, last I heard a landfill was being searched in 2017 and she was not located. So sad. Her family deserves to know where she is.

Charlene Voight had just moved to Littleton, Colorado from her family’s home in Southern California when she disappeared. The move, in part, was so she could finally be with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Jeff Beier. The “always happy” 36-year-old had just graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Landscape Architecture, and she was excited to start a new career. After not hearing from their daughter for several days, which was extremely unusual, Charlene’s parents reported her missing on July 8, 2016. A few weeks after Charlene vanished, her boyfriend Beier was arrested on unrelated charges of sexual assault involving another woman. In March of 2018, authorities concluded a search of a landfill north of Denver in connection with the case and, while they did not find Charlene's body, they did find some of her clothes. That clothing is now undergoing forensic DNA testing to see if there is any link to a suspect in her disappearance.

Boyfriend indicted in murder of Charlene Voight, who has been missing from Colorado since 2016

According to the indictment released on June 1, 2020, Beier has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree felony murder, sexual assault, two counts of tampering with evidence, third-degree assault and two counts of attempting to influence a public servant, by misleading authorities about Charlene's disappearance.

Beier is also charged with aggravated animal cruelty. According to the affidavit, investigators believe Beier dumped several items at Tower Landfill in Commerce City, Colorado on July 2, 2016. An excavation by authorities in November 2016, revealed many personal items belonging to Charlene, including the body of a small dog wrapped in a red sweater believed to have belonged to Charlene's missing Chihuahua, Toby. The dog had been decapitated. His head has not been located.

Snip:
It is unclear when Beier will be returned to Colorado. No court dates will be scheduled until he is booked at the Arapahoe County Detention Center, according to the indictment.

If convicted, he faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
