I live in Ft. Collins, CO and have never heard of this and I don't recall her being on NamUs. I hope she is found safe.

Deborah's case mentioned in this article:

One of the newest Colorado Springs cases in the database is Deborah Heriford. She was last seen on March 31. Soon after she went missing, police announced that they were investigating her case as a homicide and homicide detectives remain assigned, said her daughter Chrissy Mazzarelli.

Here is a great quote about an investigator working on missing people in Colorado Springs:

Lopez started the missing person’s unit in 2009 and, after seeing how much work there was, recruited four computer-savvy volunteers who started helping him in 2011. By this month their 100-plus case load was whittled down to 25 missing people. They tracked down people in Germany and Mexico.

We think of and pray for Deborah often! We live in the Springs, and at first, there were fliers everywhere. Now, none. So very sad........

"Search For Missing Colorado Springs Mom Who Vanished Four Years Ago"

http://www.kktv.com/news/headlines/Search-For-Missing-Colorado-Springs-Mom-Who-Vanished-Four-Years-Ago-311536521.html

The last place Debbie was seen was in her neighborhood walking her dog near Maroon Bells Avenue in north Colorado Springs. She had just arrived home from work as a crossing guard for Discovery Canyon Elementary.

"There was a neighbor who had seen her walking and that was the last person to see her," Sarah said.

Four days later when she wouldn't answer their calls, her children showed up searching for her.

I feel like the husband did it, or someone that was connected to him. The fact that whoever took her took the time to make sure the dog was tied to something sturdy (which I see as being SOMEWHAT considerate, better than letting it roam loose) means they didn't want that dog getting hurt by whatever was gonna happen to Deborah.

But, wouldn't somebody have witnessed something happen to Deborah. I mean...she's walking a dog. In order to actually get her away, you'd have to do something about the dog.

This case is confusing and strange. I wish there was more details available.

What happened to Deborah Heriford? Police still searching for clues in 2011 homicide case

Eight years after a Colorado Springs woman vanished without a trace, Colorado Springs police are still trying to figure out what happened to her.
[...]
Her body has not been found, but detectives Isham and Somosky still believe they can find who is responsible for her disappearance.

“We start with people that are known, known to the victim, and then work our way out from there, eliminating people, because in homicides it’s just as important to prove who committed the murder as it is to prove who didn’t commit the murder,“ Somosky said.

When asked if Deborah’s husband had been eliminated as a suspect, Somosky said no.

Both Somosky and Isham want to remind the public that Deborah has not been forgotten, and they said she won’t be either.

“We’d just like to let them know, we’re not going to quit,“ Isham said.

“Even though one chapter of her life was ending, she was looking forward to the next chapter of her life as many people do, and unfortunately that opportunity was taken from her,“ Somosky said.

Anyone with information about Deborah’s case should contact the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000 or through Crime Stoppers at 719-634-7867.
