I really wanted the prosecution to ask the FBI agent if Mark told him which couch it was that Dylan was sitting on when he was violently hit in the face with a Nerf ball (o_O) thrown by Mark from the other couch. Was it on the loveseat that showed traces of Dylan’s blood that looked like it may have been cleaned up?

Prosecutors rest case in Mark Redwine trial

While law enforcement executed a search warrant on Redwine’s home Nov. 29, Grusing stayed with Redwine, hoping to speak with him about what was happening.

“I wanted to see what his reaction was – to know that the FBI was searching his house,” he said.

Grusing took Redwine to the local FBI office in Durango to talk during the search warrant. During the car ride, Grusing mentioned police were searching for evidence of blood, hair fibers and saliva in the home. Redwine said Dylan had a cold sore on his lip that was “oozing blood.”

When Grusing told Redwine he would confirm that detail with Dylan’s mother, Redwine changed his story and said Dylan was hit in the face when they were tossing a Nerf football. That was the first mention of blood, Grusing said.

“Both stories, the defendant was changing what had happened to Dylan to meet what he thought would be evidence,” Grusing said.

Mark probably had the means and motive to kill Cory over the photos but he didn't have the opportunity like he did with Dylan's Thanksgiving visit. JMO.

Not to mention Cory was big enough to knock MR on his a'** had he gotten physical with him.

So what about the trail cameras Dylan's stepdad put up? I was hoping we'd hear something about them before the state rested.

Has anyone seen if the excused juror from yesterday was a man or a woman? I have 11 men & 5 women. Wanted to change that to the correct number.

TIA if anyone finds that info! :)

Prosecutors rest case in Mark Redwine trial

The trial hit a small snag Thursday when 6th Judicial District Judge Jeffrey Wilson announced one of the 16 jurors had a fever and will not be attending further proceedings. The judge indicated the juror had been vaccinated against the coronavirus, so there was little reason to suspect he had the virus.

Looks like Dr Danielson caused problems in another trial.
The prosecution has accused Danielson of not answering emails, not providing the specific information that they had requested and not abiding by court deadlines. It got to the point where the judge was considering barring him from testifying — something she ultimately didn’t do out of concern for a mistrial.

Judge just went over about MR wants to testify, think it over & talk to your attorneys.

About 15 min or so break waiting for first defense witness. The one originally planned has been postponed so judge can review stuff being emailed to him.

In arguing to disqualify Dr. Danielson, DA Champagne also spoke of a Judge’s order from 2015 that really undermined his credibility. The report from Texas showed he is no longer allowed to work for a certain lab there.
Mr. Bogan tells Judge that Danielson has testified as an expert in Colorado since 2015, in fact in this very courtroom.
Judge is not happy at all that this was sprung on him as the Gatekeeper this morning.

The defense has had nine years to gather witnesses and a defense for MR. Today, day one for their case in chief mind you..there is a huge issue which disrupts the flow of the trial, causing a huge delay at the start. Is this part of their strategy?
