That's great news. Does anyone know if LE is using dogs or helicopters in there search? I'm just so worried for this young guy......5 days is a long time for a 13 yo to be gone.

Sorry....another couple of questions here if anyone knows....have the parents made any public statements....perhaps a plea to Dylan or anyone who knows where he is? Also, was there a search of the premises where he was last seen, his room or a computer he may have had access to?

Praying for Dylan that he is somewhere warm and safe tonight. Where are you Buddy?

This is where Dylan went to school until this year fall semester when he moved to C Springs with his mom.

This is an open facebook. IF you get the sign-in page, Click CLOSE and you should be able to read the latest for Dylan for his home community.

For Dylan ... :please:
They are working through the night. I've "heard" (RUMOR) that Adams County (Rampart S&R) is coming to help. http://www.rampartsar.com/index.htm

Ramsom, thanks so much for posting this. It helps ease my mind a tiny bit to read the action being taken. And I agree.......Still :please:

What a gorgeous child......looks a lot like mine did at his age. No true smile in his pictures......makes me sad.

And there must be coyote and wolves and mountain lions. We have them out here in California, and Colorado must be even more 'wild' , imo.

If it was just a matter of him wanting to go back to his mom's, wouldn't he turn himself in already? He made his point and people will negotiate with him. But this is going on for too long now.

Actually, no wolves really. I was born and raised in Bayfield, and I know the area up there incredibly well, we spent a lot of time up there at the lakes. I doubt he'd run into a wolf, more likely up there it'd be a black bear, MAYBE a Mountain Lion. But as someone mentioned before, there are oodles of empty homes up there because it's a small area where a few well off people have summer homes that they might spend a month in all year. I'd worry about the cold probably more than anything, but IF he's run away and knows the area, he could easily be hiding. Hoping that's all it is.

Lot's of great info in this article. It was 5 1/2 hours from the time Dad found him missing until he called police or Mom. Mom was awarded sole custody on Sept 21. Dylan is not familiar with the area that Dad lives. Please excuse the format....I haven't figured out how to quote from an article yet.

http://www.pinerivertimes.com/

Dylan's Mother, from the article: “If he could call, he would.” His cell phone and charger and various other items were in his backpack, which he supposedly had with him. It’s not at his father’s house, she said".

Also from the article, "The Center for Missing and Exploited Children had a representative there” when she was at the SO Friday morning. “They are looking at Dylan as endangered, possibly abducted.”

From the article, "She asked anyone who has any information that might possibly help find Dylan to call the Sheriff’s office.
“I can’t believe this is happening. I feel so helpless,” she said.

his phone hasn’t been used since around 8 p.m. Sunday.
She said she drove here from Colorado Springs Monday evening, “as soon *advertiser censored* I found out he was missing. I was on the road by 5:30 p.m. I also called the Sheriff’s Office.

(Also snipped from the above article that Labor quoted)

It's pretty unusual for a teenager to go since Sunday without using his cell. I fear he has met with foul play. I am praying for Dylan's safe return.

I have many fears as well. Something is just not right. He's only 13 for heavens sake! Eighth grade.....with lot's of friends and very happy according to Mom (MSM quote).

From the Pine River Times article linked above:

(Dylan's mom) was skeptical of a report that someone at Vallecito saw two boys walking along CR 501 Monday at around 2 p.m., that one of them had a backpack. “The Sheriff’s Office is trying to substantiate that, because he didn’t spend that much time at Vallecito,” she said.
“We lived off CR 223 for about eight years,” she said, and his friends were from Bayfield, not Vallecito.

Here's a map that gives you a rough idea of how far it is from (A) where his dad lives now (where he disappeared from) to (B) where he used to live in Bayfield:

MAP

It's about 25 miles.

http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20121123/NEWS01/121129810/-He-would-have-called

From the above article: Dylan was picked up Sunday by his father at Durango-La Plata County Airport, his mother said Friday. Dylan announced his arrival in a text message and ended it with the emoticon that is interpreted as a scowl, she said.

She declined to talk about her former spouse except to say he rarely exercised his visitation rights.

“Dylan is a generational kid and tech savvy,” Redwine said. “He wouldn’t have gone off to the mountains to pitch a tent or build a fire.”

Becoming very concerned for this young man.
He's been gone too long now. It's cold and he's apparently in rough terrain. Too many dangers are coming into play.

When I was a young teen, my friends and I had enough "experience" to survive.. ie girl scouts, summer camp... sounds like Dylan has no such skills.

If he just ran away, I hope he wises up soon and calls someone.
Let us all hope that nothing else has gone wrong.
