Oh, well... never mind my first comment on the last thread. I see TS drove right through Santa Rosa County on her way to South Carolina. She's all by herself in this, imo. She didn't need help from someone else. She's cooked and well done. There's nothing left now but LE discovery and preparations for the final legal formalities leading to a certain conviction. She's never going to be free to walk along a pretty mountain trail again. Fresh air, warm sunshine and the smell of pine... good stuff for daydreams which is all she'll have from now until the day she dies.

What a relief. What a sad and horrible thing this has been and is. Gannon's parents will never be the same (his little sister...) and I feel just terrible for them. But, over time, I know finding a lost child is better than never knowing. What kind of horror makes it so that such a thing (that they know where he is now) is the best choice of outcomes? The cruelty of it is beyond my imagination. Rest in peace, Gannon; knowing you are loved.

Yeah, the separate counts has me backing off the idea that it’s an either/or situation.

From the beginning, it stood to reason that there would be atleast 2 events of physical violence.

The abuse event, and the murder event.

Blunt trauma and cutting my have occurred during the abuse, with a gun potentially being the murder weapon.

Hmm- yes, good point. Truthfully, ever since the blood evidence in the Mandan house was mentioned, I was very worried about her cutting him. If she's the lunatic I envision, and if Gannon in fact did some small thing that enraged her, I can see her doing something really horrific to, say, his foot. I have feared all along that she used some kind of sharp object in the garage (similar to cutting off a finger, you know, as happens all the time her household).

Stunning someone before shooting them is part of some cultures (I'm including deaths of non-humans in this, people sometimes resort to familiar animal-killing methods when doing a human killing). It's supposed to be more humane. My dad always disagreed.

So she would not have been followed if she drove home from CO? Maybe they don't have the funds for that? I would have thought the FBI would be tailing her at that point as she was the main suspect (unofficially) early on...if only to see if she would dispose of evidence along the way...

Having a hard time getting past this point myself.

It now makes sense if she did take her own car to the airport (still mind boggling).

If she did drive some 150-400 miles in that rental car on that Tuesday (places him somewhere), how odd it is that she returned. She had to have realized that her movements in that first car could be traced. I keep wondering how she did all this without a phone or internet access. It's possible. But it's also possible that someone close to her was helping.
^^sbbm

LS drove more than 900 miles between Tues 8:50 a.m. on January 28, 2020 and Wed at 1:20pm when she returned the rental car -- about 27 hours! (link below).

LS rented a vehicle when she collected her husband at the airport (Tues, Jan 28) --day after she reported GS missing.

LS returned the vehicle about 27 hours later (driving 900+ miles). LS provided Crimeonline with copy of Budget receipt confirming same. (See link below).

I don't believe LE had confiscated any family vehicles at this time (i.e., GS still considered a runaway). We also know that LS left with GS in AS Nissan Frontier truck on Monday (Jan 27) when he disappeared.

LS excuse to look for GS in a rented vehicle he didn't recognize so lame. More likely LS used rental to relocate GS body or drove a distance to hand GS body off to another who also could have transported his body to Florida. MOO

ETA: Searching for confirmed details of additional rental vehicle by LS after Jan 29.

EIGHT counts... with how shocked we are today, it will only continue to get worse.

As always, thank you for providing the critical link, imho!

Sentence enhancers including:
  • Use of a firearm
  • Use of a knife
  • Use of a blunt object
The fact that these charges have been added now absolutely means that the autopsy yielded evidence of:
  • Gunshot
  • Stabbing
  • Blunt force trauma.
The fact that these enhanced charges were filed likely means that DDA Allen is going to give some ^ consideration to charging TS with capital crimes.

What DIDN'T she do to this poor boy?

She tortured him.

Life in prison is too good for her.

JMO.
JUST OMG !!!
I can't even imagine what this poor little guy went through.
I am just soooooo angry at her right now

SHE is the one who OWES AS AND LH AND FAMILY AN APOLOGY.*********
Lying *advertiser censored* ..Just UGH

You're right. After seeing the actual counts, it does appear to be multiple weapons. Ugh.

I can't believe she dumped him just miles from where I live. I saw the report when the sheriffs found a body, but I never suspected it was Gannon. I am reeling in shock. How did she get here? This Hwy. 90 bridge area is not far from I-10 but it seems so random for where she came from and where she was going. Just shocked. moo

Could she have stayed at a nearby hotel or motel? She would have had to crash at some point, maybe she had to stop. After some sleep, she may have realized she couldn't drive on to SC with a body in the car. She would have had the opportunity to get some news as well. If she had a new phone, she would have been able to read Websleuths (just as an example).

Police are asking for Floridians to think if they saw her on Feb 3-5, I believe.

From the previous thread @Spectre5:

Uh, whoa. Pace is around my neck of the woods. That’s incredibly random she chose that area...You can actually park near that bridge to go fishing, it’s a popular spot. So I don’t know how she wasn’t seen doing this?

Do you think you could walk from that spot to where he was found? In other words, park there at night and drag/carry him there, and not be seen by traffic?

I have seen trucks and cars parked off the road there many times. I wonder what they are doing sometimes, but I assume fishing and I don't think anyone bothers them.
I would be afraid to walk down there in the dark because it would be hard to see where to step. We did have a lot of very rainy days in Jan and Feb. I'm trying to remember what it was like on those days she was here... If it was raining, she could have gotten out and put him over the guard rail quickly before anyone saw her. I would not be so bold, but I can see it happening. JMO

That means that the manner of death was via one of those.
Gitana, it seems Gannon's little body would be pretty decomposed if he'd been in Florida this whole time.

However, it does seem that it would be obvious whether a gun or a knife had been used, right?

Also won't tests be able to show whether he was drugged or poisoned?

Sorry to ask these questions. I know how much all you folks on WS are grieving. God bless you and his family.

For anyone questioning, this is precisely how it was stated in the presser:

Today I filed new formal charges in the case against Leticia Stauch. Those charges are murder in the first degree after deliberation, a class one felony that carries a potential prison sentence of life in prison without parole.

In addition to that I filed 8 counts of crime of violence for the alleged use of a firearm, a blunt instrument, a knife or other sharp object, and for causing the death of Gannon Stauch.

So, EIGHT times of one or any combination of the listed instruments, then. May we presume this includes possible violence from Sunday night, as well?

@gitana1 any insight?

Arrest warrant, oh arrest warrant, where art thou arrest warrant.
I really thought we'd have it by now, perhaps CORVID19 has slowed the process of release down? who knows.
