Earlier, Bethel testified saying that Letecia was moving around before slipping out of her handcuffs, and glancing at the deputies’ waist areas where their guns were.

Bethel testified saying it was a very dangerous situation, and that Letecia was already suspected of murder, then assaulted a deputy who was armed, and attempted to obtain her firearm.

She's really lucky that officer kept her cool and didn't haul off and punch her in the face after that attack. I'm honestly impressed that she didn't. Much respect for that woman (I wonder if she's also now left LE or if she's still rounding up evil monsters?)

8 days of trial I don't see insane yet I see some mental health issues I see self centered I see lies I see anger I see evil . That's just moo. The more I see of her personality the more I feel for Gannon and his sister and Harley and what they endured from the defendant . This wasn't new behavior for her it seems like she's been this way all her life and people tolerated it after the drama in Alaska if I was a guy and Al i would of been tossing her butt out and applying for a divorce jmvho

MOO, it's too early to be listening to this woman's squawking complaints. Rise for the Jury. Letecia wearing a maroon top today, lifts her shirt, looking at her waist area, adjusting her top. She's moving her arms around, up to her head. I think she's trying to show off her arms aren't secured now. We now know, she'll use any opportunity to pull one over to escape the consequences of her horrible actions. Justice now for Gannon.

We just watched a nasty scuffle she had with three LE transporting her back to Colorado on a murder charge. She had somehow gotten out of her handcuffs and tried to attack the officer driving after a traffic event made them have to slow and pull over. Letecia saw that as an opportunity to escape, thinking she could be a criminal on the run.

All of this behaviour in the van, and the constant complaining about 'you're hurting me' etc. is totally bog standard here in the UK. I'm getting the feeling from everyone's comments that it is less commmon the US - perhaps due to your cops always carrying arms. But anyhow, to me there is nothing about this sort of behaviour that's consistent with any mental disorder sufficent to qualify as 'legally insane'.

Through-out that video, T's attorneys both looked like they just remembered they had scheduled root canals they'd rather be having.

She is however well represented. NGRI is her only possible defense.

Unfortunately for the defense, it opened the door for playing every excruciating minute of these videos and events. Which expose T for being 100% about herself. Sane in whichever state she's in. Be it panicked or Kansas.

And also 100% unlikable.

IMO, she's damn lucky she didn't get shot.

I wonder if the reason they drove was to give her the opportunity to talk and talk and talk. With the camera running and the detective she was comfortable with , they might have thought she would talk like she did in the comfy, cozy room before her attempt to abscond.

I'm just thinking about how dangerous that incident would have been in the air.

MOO

I forgot this was in the middle of the pandemic. There were few flights if any. I am sure these officers would not want to risk getting COVID.

We’re now watching video of the transport back to Colorado. Letecia is seen manipulating her hands out of the restraints, glancing over several times, then taking a Monster can and hitting a member of law enforcement in the head with it.

Jessica Bethel is back on the witness stand testifying about the 4+ hour interview we’re now finished watching. Bethel was assigned to Gannon Stauch’s case as the lead detective from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Bethel is answering questions about how Letecia was driven by ambulance to Memorial Hospital to seek medical attention, and also walked away from the hospital before completing a sane exam.

District Attorney Michael Allen: “Did the reported anxiety attack achieve her goal of wanting to leave the Sheriff’s Office?”
Bethel: “Ultimately, yes.”

Bethel also testified saying in February, she received text messages from an unknown number, but based on the context, Bethel knew it was Letecia. Bethel said the text messages, “said they didn’t do anything to Gannon, and there was no negligence on their part.”

Bethel testified saying in early March, she had probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant, so she went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to arrest Letecia Stauch.

Bethel said Letecia was interviewed by the FBI. She said they also decided that Letecia would be driven back to Colorado. “She was calm, she ate, she sang songs, she played trivia,” said Bethel.

Bethel said Letecia had conversations not related to the investigation, she ate and drank, and was able to use the restroom. Bethel said she had the transport recorded thought because she was concerned with Letecia’s previous behavior.

We’re now watching video of the transport back to Colorado. Letecia is seen manipulating her hands out of the restraints, glancing over several times, then taking a Monster can and hitting a member of law enforcement in the head with it.

The driver of the vehicle then slams on the breaks, and the vehicle pulls over on the side of the highway.

As deputies are working to restrain her - Letecia: “She keeps threatening me the whole time.” Bethel: “Cooperate with me.” Letecia: “I will with you, but not with her.” Law enforcement: “You just got another charge.”

Bethel is now on the phone with other law enforcement calling for back-up, saying Letecia slipped out of her handcuffs, assaulted a deputy, and tried to escape. Letecia said she wasn’t trying to escape, she just wanted to open the door to get some air.

Det. Bethel says Letecia had opened the door of the transport van with her foot.

Letecia dropped all her weight while being held trying to secure her which caused Jessica Bethel to be injured and later have to have surgery. Wow, I didn't know that.
