Circumstances of Discovery​

A man walking his dog discovered the victim's skeletal remains on the Cache La Poudre River bank, east of Greeley. It is believed that his bones were deposited there by floodwaters.

It is believed he was from Oregon and murdered in Colorado.

'After 24 years and multiple DNA tests, Colorado authorities have identified a man found dead near Greeley on Valentine’s Day 2000 as Rock Springs resident Christopher Scott Case.'

Investigators determined Case had been living in Rock Springs, Wyoming before his death. He was last seen by his half-brother in Nevada in 1998.

Looks like he would've been in his late 20s when he died.
