According to everything I have read (in the news sources), the Heene children are not homeschooled.

The Poudre School District in Fort Collins, where the boys attend, did not have classes for elementary schools Thursday because of a teacher work day.

Actually "I" homeschool! So claims of anti-homeschooling metoric are rediculous. I am obviously not anti-homeschooling- but I AM concerned for these children considering the environment we all see they are being raised in.

You have to admit that in situations like this, there can be a drawback FOR THOSE Children. Cant you?

I'm not sure about this, but I believe Richard called his mother and she gave him the money for the Hotel.

I understood him to say that the ACLU lady was getting them a lawyer and paid for the hotel room. I could be wrong. It would make more sense if his mother paid.

You're probably right. They seemed in a rush discussing everything, so It was hard to keep up with every detail IMO.

OMG... I may be nuts (dont answer that; it was rhetorical) but I could have sworrn that when someone asked Dad why the kids weren't in school he said it was a teacher conference day or some other logical excused day out of school. So if he said that and they're really home-schooled..... first, YIKES indeed. And second, when he gave that answer, he clearly wanted people to infer that the kids were in "regular" school.

This is getting so deep we could plant roses, y'all.

I honestly am surprised the sheriff now anticipates charges, considering just a short time ago he talked how he believed this to be a "real event" and how he had these experts telling him the family exhibited these natural reactions and weren't faking it. Doesn't look like the father confessed to anything. So what brought this on? Seems like a compete turn around in a short time.

Do they elect sheriffs in Colorado? (If so, I think that is the best bet as to why.)
