Colorado Judicial Branch

State wants footprints, too!

Interesting!
During the course of this investigation, items of evidence have been collected and have been sent to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for testing. Upon receiving these items an Agent with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation developed possible bare foot impressions, using their normal latent print process for non-porous items. These impressions were developed from a bag (Frederick Police Department Item #26) which was collected at the scene where the victim’s bodies were located.

You are right that he shouldn't have done them. If he thought he needed to be out there he should have chosen to read a statement only. But as the FBI profiler said on a media review of his interview, it takes a very confident person to do it. And he did not do just one...several. Why did he have such confidence in his ability to lie? I believe that further goes against the defense theory of what happened. Who has that kind of confidence when they are just a poor, innocent slob who lost his family through a terrible turn of Greek tragedy events?
BBM
But how could he have been a confidant person? NUA had just thwarted his plans, LE was on to him, he knew they were searching the house, dogs everywhere, etc. I don't see how he could have possibly been confidant. JMO.

I wonder what that could mean? You would expect all their footprints all over the house, wouldn't you?

Confident in his ability to lie. Was he scared? IMO, heck yes! I believe him when he says his heart is beating a mile a minute and he is in a nightmare he wishes he could get out of...just not for the reasons he wants us to think so.

Interesting and finally something new to talk about.

That is interesting. I wonder if the bag is related or not. Hmmm

The bag wasn't found at the house. It found at the oil field.
Where is this information located? (I may have missed something, real life and sleep keep me from reading every thread). tia

Never mind, poor reading on my part.

I think this is a point we have not made enough, including myself. He chose to do multiple media interviews. Full stop. Whenever the defense puts up an argument of the frightened, cornered hero father who avenged his children's death in a fit of rage at the tragic loss...one who stumbled through a half hazard attempt to cover up the whole thing but really is a good guy...WHY THE COCKINESS TO DO MULTIPLE MEDIA INTERVIEWS 36 HOURS LATER? Is that a panicked man we can relate to? Or something scarier?

I don't personally see it as "cocky", I see it as desperately trying to cover one's arse. I'm not saying that's acceptable, just saying it's not cocky to me. It's trying to desperately self-preserve.

CW was in self-preservation mode no matter whether he killed the girls or did not kill the girls. The fact he chose the "media blitz" strategy isn't particularly noteworthy to me. JMO JMO, so please no tomatoes. I am very shocked he chose that strategy though.

My reading of it is that they found/collected a bag at the burial/disposal site - with possible bare footprints on it - but maybe I’m not reading that properly

Where does it say that @Amandaaa? I can't see that in the motion?

ETA: It's ok I missed a page!

I think Lee is a generic good middle name. Goes with everything, kind of like Ann (Anne) goes with everything.

Maybe CW was hoping that SW would stay in NC and not come back to CO.
