I wish we knew what time he texted his coworker.
I believe the DA will be asked this at the press conference and we will know. I personally believe he had been planning this for a while. I believe he was nothing but relieved afterward and a little nervous as to whether he would get away with it. I still believe he meant it when he said he was living a nightmare he could not get out of in media interviews...only because he had envisioned much less fuss by the LE somehow. He truly thought he was in the clear that Monday morning...only to slowly see his plans unravel. IMO

The letter says he would never do anything to hurt the girls to and if anything happens to him to investigate Shanann. This guy is a moron.

This is the same letter that his legal team supposedly destroyed, inciting the ire of the infamous pod casters and CWs folks?
It has now risen from the ashes for public consumption?
And is even more incriminating than it originally seemed to be?

Why?

This guy is dumber than a brick.

I can’t believe people fell for this. This “secret evidence” was alluded to so many times. Come on guys. Murderers lie, it’s what they do.
Especially since, you know, SHE is the one that's dead - not him. Plus, who knows if the date on the letter is accurate even if he did write it, unless it was notarized. MOO

I am not a body language expert, but I found it curious how he slumped in the chair, his shoulders went up and his head hung depending on who was speaking at the podium. It was different for the Rzucek's, more so for his parents, and I think I saw some anger/defiance as Orourke and the judge spoke. Interested in seeing body language videos on this if they come about.
His body language was that of a broken, embarrassed, and fearful man.

He was slumped over, and he looked like he hadn’t slept. Juxtaposed with his porch interviews, this was a very different man.

I saw his face and upper body trembling. It wasn’t just the shaking from someone bouncing their leg up and down, which is more pronounced and slower.

His body language was what I was hoping to see, but I really thought he’d speak.

It's very short and appears consistent with his handwriting. It simply says "To Whom it may concern, If anyone gets this letter, I would never do anything to hurt myself or my children or my wife. If anything happens to me, please investigate my wife. Chris Watts"

So significant, that even in this letter he comes first.

ETA - it was dated 8/6/18

If that letter is truth, it should have raised massive red flags - either that he was at risk, or that he was unstable, and someone should have done something. Not that I blame anyone else for this sorry mess, but I wonder if things would be different if his family had taken the letter to the police?

It won't work like that, offering forgiveness and actually feeling it are different things. His parents will suffer a long time, along with Shanann's familyand many others. imo
IMO she felt the need to say they forgive him because it may be their very last chance to ever speak to him ever again. Who knows what any of us would do if it was our own son? She can write him letters in prison, but that doesn't mean he will read them.

???? If the letter is real, which is a big if, it is evidence of premeditation and that is all. Period. IMO

ETA: IF it is real, it was allegedly left in a sealed envelope ONLY to be opened if "something bad happens to him." And please note this letter comes from people who have already been shown to have erroneous sources at best, and lied at worst. So I won't believe the letter is real and the story that goes with it, unless the DA admits as such.

CW definitely cried while his father was speaking. One leg appeared to be shaking violently the whole time, but aside from a few gulps not much more emotional reaction was seen.

I honestly didn't know how he kept his head held up with the shame and the horror of it all, but then I remembered those porch interviews. He might feel sorry for letting his dad down, [and getting caught] but that's about it, IMO.

I was keeping my eye on CW as his leg was shaking violently. I was certain he'd collapse when he went to stand up. I'd say he broke down as soon as he disappeared from view.

Maybe the fear was attributed to the thought of facing his 'lifer' roommates.

My God, poor sweet Bella! She fought! She fought! That little angel.
the details around Bella’s death really shook me. I am heartbroken for Shanann, Bella, CeCe and Nico. May they Rest In Peace now knowing that their murderer will never be free again...and I am heartbroken for both families.
Such a tragic, tragic story.

The way his one leg was shaking, so fast and hard---that didn't look like fear to me. Shaking with fear is more uncontrollable shaking, from within.

His leg shaking was more like intense, balled up energy and anger, in my opinion. He is pissed, probably at himself for being caught, and at his dead wife, for making him kill her and the kids.

Thank you. I was beginning to doubt my initial impression of seeing anger. I suppose he could have been afraid as well but I thought anger seems more in line with his personality. JMO. I need to go back and look for the tears CW supposedly cried and wiped away because I missed that. I suspect they were nothing more than crocodile tears. JMO.
