I'm sure you used an exclamation point in error. No, I don't think they had a fight and he broke her phone. I know he murdered her, took her phone for a ride and disposed of it.
IMO

And BM started asking about the phone fairly soon, didn't he? @Cindizzi will know! I bet he was very upset, not knowing if her phone had been found or not.

Do you think they had a fight and he broke her phone!
If her phone was broken during a fight, why wasn't the phone, or whatever was left of it, found at the home?

And why did it ping in the early AM of Sunday?

All excellent answers!!

Okay, after watching Dateline?

They need to hire some Websleuthers as consultants who actually know the nuances of a case. There were no hard questions.

I've had this complaint about Dateline for years and years, though. Too sensationalist and superficial. But hey, it's a 46 minute network show, I shouldn't expect nuances, I guess.

SM wouldn’t have ignored 3 Snapchat messages from her friend Saturday evening. She wouldn’t worry her friend by ignoring them.
She didn’t open them because she was probably incapacitated or deceased by them IMO.

jmo
Excellent example of why she wouldn't worry her friend by ignoring her snap and texts. Your attached file is perfect!

My guess is that if Suzanne's phone was broken, it was broken when BM threw it wherever he threw it. Or buried it or whatever he did with it. After that last ping.

I don't find that very mysterious at all. Her phone went dark and during BM's many magical mystery tours with many door openings and other truck telematics, the phone was made to disappear.

We don't know this as fact, but I think it's a fairly good conclusion, given what else we do know.

He had NO WORK ORDER, he had NO EQUIPMENT to do the job and he NEVER ORDERED the bricks etc necessary to do the job. Take that out of your argument. It doesn't exist.
How would you know that he "would never admit they were fighting"? That's so beyond yours or our scope of knowledge. If it's simply your opinion, where do you see any evidence that could be the case? I just don't follow your line of thinking.
Because it came out in Suzanne’s texts that he would get mad and leave for days. So I am trying to think of possible alternative counter arguments for why Sunday instead of Monday as planned originally.

Because he'd just murdered his wife and needed to get himself as far away as possible as soon as possible.

This isn’t rocket science. He needed an “alibi” for the day (Sunday) that Suzanne would be discovered “missing.”

At this point, I feel we need a pep talk.

The defense is like BM: they are busy. Old saying of my late MIL: could create bother in an empty room.

The prosecution has held much close. They've got it to court. They seem disorganized, but we have no way of knowing if that is how they intend to appear. They aren't giving away the farm.

Everything is there to prove that this is no one but BM.

All moo.

That's what I was thinking. They were fighting and she didn't feel like calling her friend about something joyous!
She was fighting all right.

Fighting for her life !!

And that is why her Social media, phone and all communication from her no longer existed.... She couldn't call her friend or anyone.

Dateline IMO has always been pablum.
The show is simplistic and meant to be sensational and entertaining
Last night’s episode was no different.

I did love the glimpse into BM’s enabling sister and marvel that she thinks her interview was a good look. TS, BM’s staunch defender /friend has been defending BM like it’s his job all over the internet. Not defending effectively but I have to admire his loyalty.
Family and friends - never the most objective
I actually feel sympathy for both of them
So much collateral damage
IMO.

Yes! He asked if they found “ the “ phone when they called him to tell him they found the bike.

Yes the case as been in their mind since the arrest. It will be changed by motions but the nuts and bolts they have. I personally have been thinking a lot about the defense and how they might approach the information we know about plus there is quite a bit we still don’t know. Trying not to discount the nuggets that haven’t had much discussion.

TS looked foolish, imo. All hat and no knickers. Bro points for loyalty.
I think the sister has potential for Janey Peterson hijinks.
I'm having a difficult time feeling empathy for them because Suzanne, a person they claim to care about, is gone, and they both know things that they are choosing to ignore, brother or idol, or not.
