This case is presumably staying in Chaffee County and presumably will be addressed after the murder trial is completed. The illegal weapon charge is also severed from the murder trial and quite possibly return to Chaffee county. I am for now assuming that the paperwork will be cleaned up at some point after trial. If he's found guilty prosecution "could" decide to just drop these two charges and save time and taxpayer dollars since he'll be in prison on the much more serious murder charge.Anyone know "what" happened to the felony forgery of public records (voter fraud) charges?

My Husband loves IPA craft beer and visiting different breweries. The New England area where we live has some really good ones too including tastings, tours, etc. We haven’t had a chance to visit beautiful Colorado yet but plan to in the near future, and my DH will surely enjoy visiting some of the breweries out there.

I agree, @Cindizzi. I’m thinking MM1 and her bff planned the trip as a getaway for end of term. In the meantime, things were coming to a head between SM and BM. She was “done” and wanted to end things “civilly”. She may have asked MM1 if MM2 could tag along so she could have it out with BM. She hated it when BM would drag the girls into their arguments.
MM2 was very much aware of the collapsing marriage and weary of the tension in the home. She offered to move into town with her mother and told her to consider a restraining order. She told her boyfriend on MD that when she couldn’t reach her Mom, she was afraid that SM and BM had gotten into a huge fight. I think things between SM and BM had gotten considerably worse since MM1 had gone off to college. I think MM2 was much more privy to what had been going on in the final months leading up to SM’s disappearance.
If feel very sorry for her. She is in a horrible position right now.

Me, myself and I, are hoping these charges are not dropped merely for convenience or saving a few shekels. No, no, I want to see 156 years + 5 years parole. Patrick Frazee needs some company. At least for awhile. Barry won’t outlive PF. Both should come out in a pine box. If CO wanted to “save time and taxpayer dollars” they shouldn’t have eliminated the DP.

I have always wondered why MM2 would think that her parents having a fight would keep her mom from responding to her texts or calls. I’m sure Suzanne had always put on a brave face for her daughters and tried to minimize their worry.

MM1 essentially never moved to PP. She had a room there, but she was already out of the house when the family moved to CO. Did she come home on weekends, or for the summer?
As to motive, I have absolutely no idea what the trigger was. It could have been Barry seeing that Suzanne was actually leaving, it could have been money, could have been Barry seeing Suzanne video chatting with a man, rage, the list goes on. I am of the belief that Suzanne deferred to Barry-she may have fought with him, but he was used to ultimately getting his way. I think that there was a power shift occurring and he was not having it.

The trigger and the motive aren't necessarily the same thing. The motive was money. Based on his movements and actions, Barry had been aware of Suzanne's paramour for at least six months (IMO, he knew pretty much immediately when you consider that they connected around the holidays 2018 and in January 2019 Barry takes her phone in Mexico.).
The trigger was Suzanne's determination to leave.
Supposing the girls camping trip was just a fluke.
Supposing Suzanne builds up a good head of steam on the drive home from Gunnison. And when they both get home for the day, she drops the hammer. Probably a pretty nasty blow out based on Suzanne's surviving message to him in the morning:
”I’m done. I could care less what you’re up to and have been for years. We just need to figure this out civilly.”
I've looked at this text and looked at it. "I'm done," has a lot of implications. Done fighting, done with the marriage, done with his crap. Which seems to be reinforced by her next sentence. "I could care less what you’re up to and have been for years." I don't think this is about his cheating. I think it's about the money.
Later in the day he sends her:
“I’m sorry if things went the way they did. I have a problem dealing with the way you accused me of hiding checks. If you think I’m as terrible of a person to hide our accounts and have ones you don’t know about you don’t know me. All I do is for you and the girls. All. When I’m dead, which won’t be long, you guys will be taken care of. Please stop being angry. If I can control my hurt heart I think I can overcome your distant unlovingness toward me. Honey, I swear it’s the hardest thing I’ve had to do. I love you I always will.”
Love bombing didn't work, manipulation didn't work, and she was pissed about the money and whatever he said or did on the 5th made it worse.
So Barry makes his decision and he's got to get it done before the girls get home. I think if we knew more of Barry's movements on the 6th & 7th we'd have a better idea where Suzanne is now.

Thanks I agree I would find out a lot. But I even have to hold my tongue here. Lol. I think what I’m saying is within TOS but sometimes I interpret things wrong. Would love to know where I could find out more.I know what you mean. Some of them are cesspools and I understand why they don’t have credibility. However, I have found that as a true crime sleuther, it helps to be a part of the communities that gather on other forums in order to grab as many details as possible surrounding a case. It helps to paint a broader picture of events, and of the players involved, since not everyone is going to be socializing on the same network.
I know of a handful of other sleuthers that comment here that also make the rounds in other groups. It’s part of the process. I can really appreciate however that the Websleuth community tries to keep the information on any case as factual and controlled as possible to avoid tainting or skewing the truth.
With all the personal notes I’ve gathered in this case, it’s best to sit on my opinions about certain aspects until they are disclosed in court or at trial. I can’t wait to discuss matters further after it is permitted.

I don't think there's anything unusual about not finding Case #D82021CR85 on the Chaffee County Docket at this time.Anyone know "what" happened to the felony forgery of public records (voter fraud) charges?

Last time I saw anything was a status hearing that was supposed to held in Chaffee County at the same time of a hearing in Fremont County. - if my brain cells are correct - it could have been the 2/10 hear -
They seemed to have "disappeared" from Chaffee county court site & not on Fremont County. ??

By Court Order [D-34] DEFENDANT’S MOTION TO CHANGE VENUE filed January 31, 2021, we know the last hearing held in Chaffee County for Case #2021CR78 was Tuesday, Feb 1, 2022. (now as case #D222022CR47 Fremont County Division 1).
Given that BM's forgery/voter fraud hearings were typically held on the same date as the murder hearings (for the convenience of the attorneys and the court), I think it's safe to assume any Chaffee County hearings on the forgery/voter fraud scheduled after Feb 1, 2022, have been continued. Also, take note that any action by the state to drop the charges won't happen in a vacuum but will be done by Motion, Answer, and Court Order --that will eventually be made available to the public.

"I'm not so sure about M1 but even if M2 were to perjure herself, I think it would be transparent - even though I do think she's being groomed to lie for him. She seems like an innocent to me. I could be dead wrong. IF she were called, she'd be confronted with her statements to LE and whether she was lying then or lying now, if she were to choose to deny her previous statements.
Barry's incessant lies about everything - especially his alibi, the state of his marriage and the discovery of Suzanne's texts (to mention just the tip of the iceberg) point to only one thing. Barry murdered Suzanne.
What the judge deems admissible is quite another story. I'll be looking at him BIG TIME to explain the reasons for his rulings, but as we all know - you can't unring a bell. [Enter appeals attorney, stage left]

Not only that, but they classified Suzanne’s as an affair because it was a period of time and apparently an affair of the heart which proved she was over Barry. Hid one night stands are worse. Checking for people on the internet, all the lying, hiding money, shady deals, oh and no telling how many diseases he would bring home to his family. Reminds me of a dog in heat. Sickening.
