@Sillybilly

Yup was thinking the same thing. So many people screen recorded it (still up on YT as well) plus all these screenshots. This kind of thing is going to have it so we lose this sort of access.

I do not believe this was true. I've contacted Lauren (who says she was not in the courtroom) and sent her the screen shot. If the daughters were there, only the people inside the room could have seen them - it was not on the streamed feed. It's nearly all men, one older lady with short gray hair and one person whose gender I cannot determine, but looks male, sitting alone in the back row, along with a lady dressed in pink, with a pink hat (who I suppose could be a daughter, but she has the body of an older lady and doesn't look tall enough - back row, right hand side of court from Judge's eye view).

There was no going in and out of the courtroom during the hearing.

There are 5 total men in the picture. Everyone is socially distanced and masked, but the short lady in pink does not look like either daughter to me. And she shows no "emotional reaction" that I can see.

Pretty sure the daughters were there, look at this twitter...The woman to the side of Barry was the far opposite end of the jury box. The girls are on the end by the judge. No one aimed a camera at the girls or the judge. Smart!!

The order granting enhanced media coverage specifically states the daughters could not be on camera. I think they likely were sitting in the jury box close to the camera so they were out of the picture. BM is also looking off to his right of the camera in the picture Skigh just posted, which would be the jury box.
I could have sworn I saw the girls in the Jury box on Chris's site in the beginning and they moved. IMO

BBM. Yes, very possible. We have recently in my extended family had personal experience of such a scenario. Very difficult to navigate and fraught in every possible direction. And in this case BM is all they have left of their immediate family. Plenty of disentangling to do, hopefully they will have the support network to manage it in safety.

Somewhat O/T, but has BM been diagnosed with NPD? I'm a doc (though not a psychiatrist) and I'm a bit bemused by all the references I've seen to it in these threads, so was wondering if I'd missed something.
Not to my knowledge, but from personal experience with NPD, I'd say so.

MOO Barry Morphew will emotionally abuse his daughters from jail bc he’s such a sick narcissist! He could give them some peace along with SMs family by telling what happened/where SM is!
bbm
Hence the judge's order that Barry not be allowed to harass or threaten, during their visits.
The court is not playing any games here.
And that's good news.
MOO.

a few questions as I try to catch up that I haven't found the answers to .....
the daughters were on a camping trip and asked the neighbor to check on their mom whom they hadn't heard from. The neighbor is the one who reported her missing after she checked up on her and said she didn't come back from a bike trip. So did the neighbor see her leave for the supposed bike trip? I thought I read that she hadn't been seen by anyone for days prior to Mother's Day so how did the neighbor see her? I'm guessing she just went off of what she was told???
second, I read (I think here) that two people connected to BM gave someone a note saying she didn't have to answer any questions from LE. Who was that?

Barry Morphew appears in court charged with wife Suzanne's murder | Daily Mail Online <---- this has a pretty good timeline summary for all the newbies like me to this case.

Why would images of the daughters be forbidden? They are both adults, IIRC. There was no similar taboo on focusing a close-up video camera on Frank Rzucek in his most tragic, grief stricken moments. I will never forget how he looked that day, but maybe he would have preferred not to be used by the media in that way. (IMO)

At the conclusion of the appearance as BM was escorted out of the court room, I saw a blond older woman on the jury side motioning as if she were rubbing someone's back. I heard someone crying and it appeared she was consoling someone. The person she was consoling did not appear on camera.

No, he hasn't been diagnosed with NPD - not that we (the public) would be aware of, anyway. I think there are enough stories available (my wife went to school with him, so I have heard some first-hand) that I do think it's very safe to say he has (and has always had) a big ego. Does that mean he has a clinical diagnosis of NPD?? IMO, that's more than a bit presumptuous.

Sister of missing woman allegedly killed by husband reacts to murder charges

In the wake of his arrest, Suzanne Morphew's older sister, Melinda Moorman, told ABC News, "I forgave my brother-in-law early on."

"Bitterness destroys people," she said. "I pray for him and have sadness for him."
Much respect for Suzanne's sister.
If I were in her shoes at this time , I couldn't speak those words.
Not yet.

He has destroyed his own little family and so many others !
Why didn't he just get a divorce ?
Life would be different for him, but it would go on -- and he'd be free.
He might be a little poorer and maybe his image would've suffered--- but no one outside of his circle would even know or care.
Makes me think again that maybe Suzanne discovered some shady business dealings or some thing nefarious Barry was doing with their shared money ?
IMO.

Eta : As in maybe Suzanne discovered something criminal that would've resulted in BM going to prison ?
As if murder is the better option !
*Sarcasm intended*
Imo.

No, as far as I know he does not have any mental health diagnosis. I think the speculation is based on his behavior and ability to go on with life, deny any role in his wife's disappearance, and his blaming the police for "botching" the investigation and therefore accusing him. Imo

Imo, it comes as no surprise that this murder was premeditated. I've always believed it was planned with much thought and way in advance, possibly of them even moving to Colorado, where Suzanne became totally isolated from her loved ones. All the coincidences never sat right with me: Suzanne being all alone on Mother's Day, girls out of town, no cams, poor Wifi and cell service, Barry out of town, etc. I truly believe something went south for ole Barry during that Mother's Day weekend that screwed up his pre-planned alibi, and caused everything to become messy, and he was in full panic mode when he gathered his workers for the Broomfield job. Maybe he did have a fire training course that weekend, and it got cancelled suddenly due to Covid, or maybe the girls decided to head back to Salida earlier than scheduled. Whatever it was, I do hope we will one day have the answers to this puzzling case. That arrest warrant cannot come fast enough, I tell ya. (I think you ALL know).

FYI: I dreamed about Barry and the girls last night. We were in a house together, and I knew he was a murderer. We were playing games like Ring around the Rosie (kinda), and all the while I was thinking, is this man gonna flip and kill us? Lol. Hopefully, my Barry dreams are coming to a close.

From the Daily Mail, photos of Barry and his "friend," out living their best life getting some Mexican food. Not anymore, Bear Bare. Not anymore. We were never going to let you just kill your sweet wife and move on like she was garbage. Nope. Not on our watch. :(
I've wondered if BM's planning in all of this started with the decision to move to Colorado to get Suzanne away from friends and family so she would be more isolated and make it easier for him to carry out his plans. JMO

NOTE: The judge issued an order allowing 1 TV camera in the courtroom. We were not allowed to record audio. We were also not allowed to record any video of Morphew's daughters. You will not see their names or pictures on our air as they deal with these unimaginable circumstances

I don't believe he has that formal Dx. It is speculation due to observation on the part of others following the case. IMO, I wouldn't dare speculate or assume this; I don't feel that I'm well versed enough to do so.

I feel sympathy and sadness for the experience you went through. I can't begin to imagine the emotional confusion and pain of trying to navigate that sort of dynamic. I do hope that there has been healing for all involved.

IMO, I'm a bit uncomfortable with how much the children are being brought up in topic. It's B we should be focused on in terms of how this proceeds. I guess as a Mom, I feel a bit protective about the children's exposure.

To recap, it appears B was granted visitation with family, he has another hearing on May 27th @ 4pm (MST). It doesn't sound like a bail has been set. Also, the AA will remain sealed.
