JMO I agree, he was checking the dumpster to see if it had been emptied yet, I just dont see BM being a dumpster diver but who knows aldi's and dollar tree must be a great place to find hidden treasures but I don't see him going to check them out and I am sure the local grocery has any treasure, the fact that the store seemed closed and he had to knock on the window to get his narrative out. and to try and explain why he was looking thru the dumpster for a light blue bike helmet.

BM didn't even think it important to tell them WHO he was looking for.

"he leaves a note in the Pancha Market. “Somebody knocked on the window and it was Barry Morphew,” Tiffany Butala (Store Manager). There was no mention of who he was looking for, no description, only this note."

Now that is wacked out strange!

I think Knox has the link.
Ita.

Certain people are more hyper-focused than others.
Taking care of business.

Speculation :
Maybe some people wanted to make sure the search was on for the items, over finding their wife ?
Imo.

Is the location of the bike on the map at link correct?
Suzanne Moorman Morphew
It's every bit as correct as their cell tower map IMO

PE Cell tower map.
Blue and pink routes marked in map.

Blue and pink dashed lines in the cell tower map.

Blue appears to be a round trip to Denver through Colorado Springs one way and the other way the route straight back from Denver.

Pink goes to a marked location way out on past Monarch into wilderness.

After Monarch and just before and north of Sargents the pink route turns right (N) onto 888, then a right E onto 237.
Up 237 for two switchbacks ending at a meadow.
What is that?

Wasn't that the oddest thing? It's bizarre to think of BM looking through garbage trying to find SM's bike helmet. I wonder what he was really doing by going through the garbage? Was BM actually throwing something into the garbage? It sounds insane!! MOO
That'd be an interesting bit of footage, showing BM poking around in the bin there, hey .... is that the market where they failed to collect the film in time, and it was wiped over? Poncha Market?
ETA .... yep, just caught up on posts, the same market.

I just noticed something else from the PE Storymap- in the Cellular Towers & Tracking section.

Key locations are highlighted in yellow, key towers are marked in purple. What's up with the two towers located near Cougar Canyon Pt in Divide, CO?

Did I miss some speculative discussion about pings in this area?

I saw that last week and mentioned!
The blue lines on Highway 24 through Woodland Park, towards Colorado Springs to I-25 and into an area of Denver, not near Broomfield and a return up highway 285, truly baffling to me.
Aware of Frazee locales & dumping evidence or SM nearby?
Didn’t see Teller County listed on CCSO press release

BBM:

I agree that SM's final text may prove to be extremely telling, as well as damning.

I do very much wonder what the last message SM (herself) texted.

Specifically, I'm wondering if it was something along the lines of, "BM just stormed into the house, I'm going to have to deal with him, BRB" or something similar.

I think SM may have shared that tensions were running very high under that roof.

And then she went radio silent.

JMO.

I deffinelty think there is something about the content of the texts important here, the PE guy's said the friend went into "panic mode" after the conversation stopped abruptly, I can understand being concerned about somebody if they stop replying but going into full panic mode? I don't see that happening just because somebody doesn't reply for a while unless there was also something concerning within the texts themselves along with the replies stopping.

Maybe, her friend was concerned already on Friday 8th, because of certain texts from SM or even a call. LE will know, if Suzanne was suddenly afraid of a bike ride or something like that.

Are we really surprised about this revelation?

What is surprising to me is his total transparency. I mean, AT LEAST act like a worried, concerned, grieving husband. Geeze

People react to shocking events in different ways. There's no "correct template" to follow. Maybe there is a standard way that people act during such times based on culture but there will be outliers: some may attempt to soldier on with their daily lives, others will attempt to dull their pain with alcohol or illegal drugs or acquire new belongings. IMHO, how a person reacts to a tragedy may be interesting but isn't evidence of wrongdoing.

Thanks for the additional info. I asked the question thinking along the lines of an attorney arguing, as an example, a screenshot is not solid evidence of timestamps, it could have been falsified to look an actual text exchange between parties, etc. I would imagine actual evidence turned over from the cell provider or recovered from LE is better but screenshots still work as evidence. IMO

Cell phone's are not my thing but if its anything to do with any kind of social media messages i can easily edit ANY of the info, that goes for facebook, twitter, instagram etc or even forum messages using the EXACT same fonts etc, He's just a quick example attached bellow.

i think he expected the police to accept his mountain lion/bike theory immediately, and when they didn't, he went into panic mode. when LE side-eyed the cat theory, he decided to sell the bike theory even harder. maybe he had thrown the helmet or clothes or whatever the item was that was found, in that trash can, and was desperate to find something additional of suzanne's to throw into the bike-ride mix. maybe he found the item, (or bought a new one) and someone tossed it on the day the search got weird and his buddy disappeared. it does sound inconceivable, and risky, that if it was a helmet, he (or a friend) would be able to get away with carrying something like that around undetected during the search.

if it was a helmet, was suzanne's hair in it? she had long hair, so surely there would have been at least one hair in it. i have short hair and putting a bike helmet on pulls my hair out. we still don't know what the item was though, so now i'm thinking it was likely something smaller, and something easier to carry and dispose of. maybe he left it right on top of the garbage, hoping someone would find it, and when they didn't, he took it closer to the "scene of the crime."

but it's very interesting that as he was digging through the trash and specifically asked the guy if he'd seen a helmet. doesn't that action/statement tell us he was, indeed, looking for the helmet?

i wonder if they used the dogs around the area of the item. maybe it didn't smell like suzanne, but it smelled like garbage.

however, i still circle around to him knowing where all the cameras were at the hotel. this guy did his homework, so surely he wouldn't make such a rookie mistake. right? on the other hand, morgan did say he was in town all day saturday. and now the footage is, very luckily for mr. morphew, gone-pecan! i wonder if that is a fib by LE to see what his next move is if he think he got away with it.

just throwing out some ideas. seeing what'll stick. lol.
