That would be too hard for me to tell Boxer, people just started w/ this selfie business (where they include themselves in all the pictures) in the last 7-8 years? I'm not sure anymore .

But I can see as many reasons for her not going, as going, if that story is even true. Very little else has been true from day one, including the bike ride...

We don't even know if that is really where they were. I'm not buying an organized "church" group camping, everything was cancelled at the time. This info had to start where the bogus Barry (fire training story started.) Not to mention "running late. " Heck I could give anyone an hour or two (and that's usually due to heavy traffic/accidents) but that wasn't a problem, that particular Mother’s day traffic wasn't heavy, from what I read, because of Covid. If they were camping was there really a plan to be back at all with mom that day? No one was home at 5PM ..that is beyond late, why bother rushing home at that point? We'll probably never know the truth.

Yes very much agree.
I believe there was either a public abduction that the sheriff cannot find a trace of, or a low tech / high probability answer for her disappearance.

For me the first question is, why did she not go to Idaho camp with her daughters and her mother in law and sister in law.
That promised to be a memorable trip of a lifetime, given the girls ages.

The girls went on a road trip with friends. just three girls. Two of which were the daughters. Mother in law and sister in law weren’t with. I’m not convinced it really was a camping trip.

Looks like they took plenty of trips based on Suzanne's FB pages. Could be as simple as camping wasn't her thing. On most all the vacation photos they are at beaches or islands, not camping or winter sports. She also had a role to play in the virtual wedding of her best friend's daughter that weekend. It also could be she needed that alone time with Barry, if things weren't going so well.

@Murphy1950 sbm Agreeing that it seems unlikely or unusual that organized church camping trips would take place as scheduled that week.
OTOH if the dau.s were not on church camping trip,* likely imo their location then would have surfaced in MSM.

@Boxer Sorry I have no link re dau.s being on camping trip.
But there was extensive discussion about it in, say, first couple weeks of SM's disappearance, so must have been MSM.

I do not recall when I read/heard about either MiL or SiL also being on trip.

An alternate point of view, is that BM sending the daughters on a camping trip with his family on 1. Mother’s Day weekend and 2. When SM was about to get the all clear on cancer treatments is an extremely controlling move.

I can’t imagine a mom would want time to herself with both of those things happening that weekend.

From the man who set up the FB page and the *** page and never updated the FB page again, after week one. Wouldn't you think if nothing else you would repost the tip line number every few days? Trevor had to have strong suspicions..IMO

At first I thought Trevor stepped in to be the family spokesperson because he was a good guy trying to help out. I was curious when he referred to BM as “the husband”. I did think he was SM’s nephew not BM’s. Then I realized that BM was feeding him everything that he wanted put out. The thing that threw a curve ball for me was that TN was allegedly with GD when they went into Salida to pressure MG about talking to LE and turning over her phone. It was the whole incident when MG returned from Broomfield and they approached her about not paying for the job because it would look like “hush hush” money.
That was on Tuesday, 5/12. Allegedly after GD and TN reported back to BM about MG cooperating with LE, BM fired her on Wednesday.
I think that TN had some of that Morphew blood that caused him to like being the big shot, the big man in town. Then when TN dropped out of sight, like you I thought he began to have serious suspicions about BM. I think he realized that “whoa, this is getting serious”. MOO

BM refused to identify himself in the first few days after SM went missing. No name, no face. I often thought he felt there might have been a witness who saw him do something suspicious in the days right before or after SM went missing:
Look at this guy who’s wife is missing. I saw him Sunday afternoon at........... not in Broomfield. Or I saw him Saturday afternoon buying bleach.........
Etc, etc, etc.

I think we have to try to keep remembering how Suzanne could have been thinking.

Whatever the family dynamic, facebook perfect or less than hunky dory, I think it's EASY to imagine Suzanne content to stay home. Covid safe, the virtual wedding, one she'd surely have loved to attend in person if not for the lockdown. This, the next best thing.

Wednesday she went for a walk (encountering the cleaning lady -- whose place had that much trash during a lockdown???).... Thursday, something about a bike repair.... Friday, some take out? Seemingly normal activities during an abnormal pandemic...

Saturday... MG expected to work all day in Salida.... at a minimum, Suzanne must've felt BM would be working all day (though we don't know what SHE was told/led-to-believe.... SHE may have thought he was altogether out of town and away for the whole weekend)... her girls would be home for Mother's Day.... dinner, I believe... a perfectly tailored weekend.

She was free to visit with her friend all day Saturday, bothering no one.

Unless it bothered someone.

Agreed. None of us know where the girls were, or who they were with, with the exception of LE. We just know that they weren’t home, and according to Barry, were running late in returning on Mother’s Day. We don’t really know who initiated phone calls to the neighbor (except in Barry’s telling of it to TD). We ramble around the few facts but honestly much of this is conjecture. The girls could have been two towns away for all we know. We do not have the story.

Thank you. I know BM complained about his truck having some computer thing removed. But I still am unsure if it records LOCATION or just stopping/acceleration. Or is just triggered in a crash just like iPhones do a micro-second video of photos when a “live” photo is clicked.

I purchased a fancy 2019 vehicle and was assured it didn’t record my locations. Not that I’m going to murder anyone but this data harvesting is out of control from my standpoint so I inquired. My two 2015 vehicles do no recording, at least that’s what I understand. My after-market dash cams record though.

I’ll have to pull out my 1:100,000 BLM Salida map to see how close BLM/USFS public lands/non-residential private lands are to the Morphew house. If close, it’s possible she was just hoofed up during the night. No ATVs involved. No burial required.

Even though SM was a petite woman, carrying a dead weight of even a 100 lb person would be exhausting in those conditions. He may have taken a trail partway on his ATV and then carried her in a ways. The problem with this is that the trails in that area seem to get heavy use. The weather was getting warm in May and the scent of decay would be strong.
If you look at the dirt road that leads from PP to the RV park on a satellite map, you will see that a set of power lines parallels that road. Usually those power lines have an cleared area underneath them that is pretty well maintained so service workers can easily access them if need be. If you look south of the power lines, you will see hundreds and hundreds of acres of heavily forested land. It would make more sense for BM to follow those power lines for a ways in an ATV and then veer off into the forest to find a dump/burial site in the middle of the night. I think he knew better than to have his phone with him when he did this. Plus this is not an area where people would be hiking or ATVing by.
He would have to take his phone with him when he left for Broomfield on Sunday morning and he wouldn’t want LE to pinpoint stops along the way. He was specific that he left home at 5:00. I’m sure he made sure that he checked into his hotel around 8:00 so he could say that SM was alive when he left and he went straight to the hotel. He said in one of his few statements that he was at the hotel and he didn’t do anything wrong there. He stated there were “cameras everywhere”. In his mind it was the perfect alibi. He didn’t count on the fact that LE can not say definitively that SM disappeared after 5:00 am on Sunday morning. Furthermore, we have no idea what he did all day on Sunday.
