She was part of a study per article. Something worked. I’d venture to say it Was the viagra. Imo We need to work more on therapeutics <modsnip>
The vaccines are working very well.
I think the issue in the US is that there is a massive chunk of the population who is not double vaxxed or boostered. So it is not easy to see how effective the vaccines are .... in promoting far less serious illness, far less death (their intended purpose).
In a state like mine, it is easier to see the effect of the vaccines.
Where fully-vaxxed rates are high (and where our 'curve' is pretty much a vertical line at the moment, as we come from a position of zero cases), the amount of covid deaths is negligible and hospitalisations are very low.
Most are successfully treated at home.

Active cases: 12,342
Patients in hospital: 72
Patients in ICU: 7
Recent covid deaths: 2 (a 90+ woman, and an under 2 years old child)
Second dose vaccinated (12+): 87.9%
