Criminal Defense Attorney for Casey - Linda Kenney Baden

When I heard about Mrs. Baden on the tv news this morning, I couldn't believe it. From what court tv said during the Spector trial, she is suppose to be an expert on forensics. She is almost as bumbling in court room as Baez. I hope she realizes this will be a Florida jury and not California one.

This strikes me as particularly eerie and disturbing today.

Creepiness aside, I was waiting for Team Casey to add a female attorney-- Casey is an aberration to womanhood and to motherhood. To appeal to female jurors in particular, they need to show another women is willing to defend Casey. I wonder what Casey's trial makeover will entail-- I'm guessing longer hair pulled back from her face, glasses and a lot of pastels.

Exactly! No more Target Criminal Couture Collection and tight fitting Find Caylee tees, it'll be all pleated skirts and bows to show the jury how innocent and sweet she is. Gag me.

Oh man... I can see a replay of the Phil Spector case.. Dr. Baden will end up testifying FOR the defense..

Sounds like a 'conflict of interest' to me.

I truly think that kobi is on his way out...to much info prior to the hire....he hasn't see the evidence yet and I'm thinking.....

does anyone else find it a tad odd for that many LE officers to meet and greet the plane the way they did????? I realize high profile and such but that many and that quick?????? along with the lawyering up????? search warrents????? :waitasec::waitasec:

now wondering who will be at court today----

I am really surprised! I thought the game was over. I figured Baez would talk Casey into telling the truth - and work on some kind of plea. But, I also figured that what happened was an accident. Hiring this new lawyer tells me that it was not an accident, but a horrible murder. Why else would they need another lawyer?

And, I hope C&G are arrested!

Okay - we know that "Criminal Defense Attorneys" are expensive - considerably more expensive than attornies practicing most any other area of law. They make the big bucks - and the bigger the name they have made for themselves - the more they command.

Casey has a team of legal advocates representing her. In addition to her legal team - famed forensic "experts" as in Dr. Henry Lee and Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky (Nancy Grace regular) have both been engaged by Baez regarding the forensics. With Linda Kenney Baden coming onboard today to also represent Casey - IMO, it's only a matter of time before her hubby, Dr. Michael Baden finds his way onto *Team Casey* - or becomes a designated mouthpiece for them on the cable talk show circuit. (Greta, Nancy, Jane Velez Mitchell, Larry King, the network & cable morning shows, etc)

Then, of course, the Senior Anthonys, Cindy & George, are now represented by their 2nd Criminal Defense Attorney. (And have a rather strange *spokesperson*.)

Where do these rather arrogant people with their obnoxious self-serving behavior and no money to speak of - afford these expensive advocates?

Who is paying for all of this???? Where is it coming from?

Neither of the Anthony grandparents have worked for quite some time. They were already in financial trouble before Caylee & Casey disappeared last June. Now .. Casey is incarcerated - hasn't worked for over 2 years - has no money of her own and steals to obtain her funds when she is out on the loose.

I don't get it. Expensive lawyers & experts - mortgage & monthly bills to pay ... where is the money coming from?

Any thoughts on this - or perhaps, how you think Linda Baden will fit in with Casey & Jose?

They strive for the media attention, it then becomes 'name recognition' their name becomes a household name. Then when the RICH crooks out there get caught, bam-- thats who they hire and pay lots of money to. Plus, the rights to books, interviews, etc which pay millions of dollars.

I'm not so sure we'll see Baden taking an official role in this case. If he does, he'll be doing a good deal of backpedaling; as late as last night (after his wife apparently had been retained), he was pontificating (on Greta) on the vast treasure trove of evidence in the bag with the skeletal remains--going so far as to detail how fingerprints were surely on the adhesive side of duct tape, how plastic bag perforations could be matched to bags in use at the Anthony house, and so on.

Just 'cause his wife is representing The Epitome of Evil doesn't mean he's going to hop on the wagon. He may stick to punditry.

(I'd really like to think this. His lapses in judgment have been fewer than his bona fide positive contributions to forensics.)

I cannot believe that it took this long to get a new attorney. Biaz seems totally incompetent. He should have had the paper work to observe any physical findings ready on his desk to be used immediately when and if something was found. By the time he got around to it, everything was moved(not that I wanted anyone he hired to get involved, but a really bad reaction to something that was foreseen, and should have been prepared for).
He ordered video and other information from LE, ignores it, does not pick it up, goes in front of the media, stating that LE is withholding information, when his office is confronted with it from one of the tv stations about the videos and papers waiting for days at the LE, first his office denys it, saying they have picked up everything, and then when confronted with "We have video of the videos and other items, stacked up and waiting for you", other stupid excuses are presented.
I could go on with his bumbling but you get the idea. I think KC is guilty, but she does deserve a decent lawyer. This is America. You are suppose to be represented. I have a feeling that Biaz has been misinforming her, and the Anthony's all along, either because he does not know any better, or he is just twisted and trying to work the system. Maybe if she had had a decent lawyer, all of this would have been taken care of in a few days, after CA called it in.

Yes, I agree. It was reported that LE boarded the plane and then escorted the A's off. If they don't have the goods on them now perhaps that was a scare tactic to signal them that we are watching you and soon we'll be coming for you??? JMHO

That's exactly what happened in the first Spector trial. Naturally, she was "ill" when he testified and not in court for his testimoney.
