She said Mr Baden-Clay suggested they lay low because police knew of their affair.
Ms McHugh made five statements to police regarding Mrs Baden-Clay's disappearance.
During one police interview, detectives told to her that Mr Baden-Clay had had affairs with two other women.
''You weren't aware of [the other women] until police told you?,'' Mr Davis asked Ms McHugh.
''I certainly wasn't aware of Hamilton [one of the women]," Ms McHugh replied.
She said she had previously questioned Mr Baden-Clay about the other woman, but believed they were just friends.
''I knew that they had a friendship and I believed it was a business relationship," she said.
Ms McHugh questioned Mr Baden-Clay about his other affairs on May 27, the court heard.
''I recall questioning him, asking for some confirmation about whether it did happen...whether it was true,'' she said.
''I told him I'd found out.
''He said he didn't want to talk about it over the phone - he wanted to talk to me about it in person.
''I kept pressing for some response.
''He reminded me of him saying to me once that there was something that he needed ... that if we were ever together ... we'd be needing to sit down and talk about things frankly and honestly and he referred to that being one of the things that we would be discussing.''
Ms McHugh said Mr Baden-Clay promised to call her the following day but didn't.

i dont understand why they had to lay low? its not illegal to have an affair and the police and everybody knew by then, why not go to her for comfort if he supposedly loved her? makes it sound like they had colluded about allison "disappearing" and didnt want to draw attention?
as well as allisons girls, i also feel sad for tms boys, they are old enough to read every sordid detail about their mother, hope they have someone supporting them through this.
