Still missing...

Oh no! Found deceased [emoji20]: https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/...Found-in-IDd-as-Missing-DC-Man-468828793.html

Human remains found in Prince George's County, Maryland, last fall are those of a D.C. man who disappeared after he left home to meet a woman he met online, his family says.
Marty William McMillan Jr. was last seen on April 22, 2017, on the 2900 block of M Street SE. The 22-year-old told his family he was going out with a woman he met on the dating website Plenty of Fish.

But when investigators spoke to the woman more than a week later, she told them she didn't have her phone when he was communicating with her, and that she never saw him.
After McMillan's disappearance, his family spent every weekend searching for him. In May, his grandmother found his car on Foote Street NE, three miles from where he was last seen.
No arrests have been made.

Human remains were found Oct. 30 on the eastbound side of Suitland Parkway, between Interstate 495 and the ramp to the north gate of Joint Base Andrews.

Police identified those remains as McMillan's, his family told News4 on Thursday.

Arrest made in D.C. 'Plenty of Fish' murder

Thank you for posting. Odd that this article doesn’t have any details such as evidence or motive, but I’m happy an arrest was made.

They believe McMillan saw three people the night he was killed: John McRae, his live-in girlfriend and their friend who lived next door. According to court documents, McRae told detectives his girlfriend was known to set up people for robberies.
McRae's girlfriend told police McMillan had come to her apartment early the morning of April 23, 2017, and that McRae shot him there. McRae and his brother then dumped McMillan's body near a highway, court documents say.
While McRae, his girlfriend and their neighbor had been charged with crimes and each told police they had knowledge of the killing of McMillan, there had been no charges in his disappearance or death until police announced the murder charge against McRae on Tuesday.
Police examined evidence including cellphone records, fingerprints found in McMillan's car, the records of a court-ordered GPS monitor and a bed sheet found by a cadaver-sniffing dog.
Messages McMillan exchanged with a woman he met on the dating website Plenty of Fish provided other clues. Cellphone records show McMillan exchanged messages with someone using a phone registered to McRae's girlfriend.
Police left open the possibility that more people could face charges related to the murder.
McMillan had already been in custody on another charge when police announced the murder charge Tuesday.

another case where some folks give up on justice coming (none of us here on WS of course) and then WHAMO, there's an arrest. Granted, this arrest did not take very long, but longer than some and too long for those who prefer instant gratification.

How very very sad for this young man who seemed to have a great life ahead of himself.

[h=1]Police arrest suspect in killing of man who disappeared on an Internet date[/h]
D.C. police on Tuesday charged a suspect in the fatal shooting of a young man who disappeared nearly a year ago while on a date with a woman he met on the Internet and was later found dead in the woods in Maryland.

Police charged John Jabar McRae, 40, with second-degree murder while armed. Court documents identify McRae as the live-in boyfriend of the woman who had gone on the date with the victim, Marty McMillan Jr., 22.

Authorities said a motive for the killing remains unclear, but court documents said the suspect might have discovered his girlfriend cheating. McMillan’s mother, Aisha Young, 43, who now lives in Charlotte, said she believes her son was lured to a robbery.
McRae was previously charged with drug and gun offenses stemming from a raid police conducted on his Southeast D.C. apartment during the investigation of McMillan’s disappearance. He is awaiting trial on those charges.

McMillan’s body — described by Newsham as skeletal remains — was found in October in woods off Suitland Parkway in Forestville, Md. His death in January was ruled a homicide from multiple gunshot wounds.

McMillan lived with his grandmother in Hyattsville and with his father on M Street in Southeast Washington. He disappeared from a residence in Prince George’s County the night of April 22 after watching a basketball game with a friend. He was driving a black Volkswagen Passat.

Maybe I missed it, but does it say whether he had been reported missing?

Maybe I missed it, but does it say whether he had been reported missing?

It doesn't say specifically in that article but yes he was reported missing. Here is an article from when he was reported:

A 22-year-old man is still missing Wednesday after he was last seen on April 22 after telling his father he was going on a date with a person he met on a social media site.

Marty McMillan Jr. recently secured an apprenticeship with Electricians Local 26, and his grandmother purchased a Volkswagen Passat for him, according to his family.
Metropolitan Police told ABC7 News they recently moved McMillan's case to a homicide as a precaution.

The family told ABC7 News police made contact with the woman McMillan supposedly had a date with, and she alleges not to know anything.
