Circumstances of Disappearance:
Emory disappeared from Wilmington, Delaware on February 27, 1996. He was last seen in the early morning hours when a friend dropped him off in front of his residence in the 400 block of east 10th Street. He has never been heard from again.

At the time of his disappearance, Emory had a young son and his girlfriend was pregnant. It was considered uncharacteristic for him to leave without telling anyone and to not be in contact with his loved ones. The pager he carried still worked for over a month after he went missing, but he never answered any of his pages. Foul play is not suspected in Emory's case but his whereabouts remain unknown.

Sad. Missing since 1996. Police did not suspect foul play! NAMUS case created April 2010. Added to WS March 2022. Missing for 27 years.
 
Damond R. Emory's son, Damond Z. Emory, who he never met, was shot & killed at just 25 years old in Wilmington DE in 2021. His killer has not been found.

 

<<He had grown up in Wilmington and attended Newark High School. He had known people who were involved with drug activity and, prior to his disappearance, Emory himself had been arrested more than a dozen times and convicted of offenses including drug possession, assault, criminal mischief and weapons violations. His mother, however, said he'd been trying to straighten out his life and find a job. It's unclear whether drugs were a factor in his disappearance. His case remains unsolved.>>
