I am totally in shock. I never thought she would be found. Very sad and emotional day, but I am happy she can now be laid to rest respectfully. Picturing her out there alone makes me sick. RIP Hailey, you will never be forgotten. May justice be served on those that did this to you.

Surely it was searched with cadaver dogs?

For those who may have missed this on Page 1 -

Specifically, Billie Dunn's daughters' remains have just been identified. She is the mother of a deceased daughter. She has never been named a POI or suspect. She is to be treated as we would any victim's family.

The only thing we KNOW she may be guilty of is poor judgement, naivety and being gullible. She is to be given the benefit of the doubt. She has just been told her daughter is dead...Come on, folks.

Don't even think about going there with any bashing. It will result in swift TOs.

Stacie Campbell, a Hope for Hailey volunteer, told the Reporter-News that Hailey Dunn's family is headed to Austin, Texas to be with Hailey's mother Billie Dunn and brother David.

Campbell, a Coahoma resident, said she was one of the first people Billie Dunn called after authorities told her the human remains found in Scurry County were those of her teenage daughter, Hailey, who was reported missing Dec. 28, 2010.

"I had a screaming mother, screaming and bawling in my ear," Campbell said about Billie Dunn's phone call. "For good reason, we all told (Billie Dunn) not to drive here (Colorado City). I can't imagine driving and knowing that information.

If Shawn is guilty, it is possible that Hailey was alive until they reached the area where she was found, hence a lack of hits by dogs (if there weren't any hits.) She may have gone somewhere with him willingly.

Okay, I was flipping channels and watching 3 channels at once but I heard one of them say that Shawn Adkins has been changed from a POI to an actual suspect. Did someone else hear this and what channel was it?

I suspect LE has alot more evidence than we know that they have hung on too hoping to find a body. We never heard about that other cell phone.

That's true about the dogs. Hailey's grandma said Hailey was afraid of Shawn so not sure if she would have gone willingly.

BD moved to Austin and I'm not sure if Clint moved or not? I followed the case closely until there was nothing more to follow. I'm trying to refresh my memories from years ago.
