Don't have the exact quote, I read so much, but I think you're right. I also don't think she was lying when she said something to the effect that if Caylee was gone, her family would never forgive her. (Those aren't exact words.) I think that's a true expression from Casey of her emotion and feeling. For all the family dysfunction, for all the mental illness or personality defects hovering around Casey, I think she really, really doesn't want to lose her family but has a deep seated primal fear of that happening.

I believe you are correct. The question is, why hasn't she matured past that point?

I do not think she was being paid for sex. I think that she had a lot of sex with a lot of different guys and was as promiscuous with her sex as she was with her thievery and lying.

I also think that she is a sociopath with no conscious whatsoever. This also fits with her ability to change complete friend groups at the drop of a hat and ditch the other group entirely.

In Amy's statement, she stated that she didn't really know casey at first. she met her at a party before she went off to work on a cruise ship for 6 months and when she came back Casey had inserted herself into Amy's group of friends and that is how she came to know her.

Perhaps there is another small friend group around poor anthony the 5-0~no~moe?

LOL, just because he had sex with her doesn't mean he knew her very well. And as far as the chats, maybe he feels like the rest of her friends- like he didn't know her at all after everything that he has learned. Of course that doesn't excuse lying on the job.

...and he was foolish thinking he could get away with it...especially as how forensics would turn up info of their chats. Another one bites the dust.

have you read the 400 pages of documents yet? To many of her "friends" she stated her hatred of her father, that he was crazy, etc.. very strange stuff indeed. Perhaps after reading these docs (jb had it two days ago per local6), the parents know the true extent of the lies and what Casey was saying about them....and that is why they didn't go with her to the attny today???

ITA. One thing I got from reading the docs and also from distancing myself from the investigation (vacay) was 1) Casey is most definitely a sociopath and 2) there is really no one out there who knows her (which also confirms for me that she is functioning like a true sociopath).

That's what I think. Have dealt with a family member who was very sexually active, who had very low self esteem. Also diagnosed with BiPolar.

I agree. I have a friend that has Schizophrenia and when she is not on her meds she is very promiscuous. It is sad that is how she feels loved and receives the attentions she desires.
