My understanding is that she got into a scuffle or two at Estrella. Wasn't she removed from a double cell and placed in a single after a physical confrontation with a roommate? I don't have a link for that but if anyone else heard such a report and can remember where, please speak up.

If the report is true it means not all the other Estrella inmates liked her. And some (at least one but I bet more than one) of those who did changed their tune.

Plus, according to Sandy Arias, Jodi likes her privacy, so it may have been a calculated effort (surprise!) on JA's part in order to get "private accommodations."

Makes me hope she does get to the "dorm housing" level of custody. It will make her nuts to have to put up with other people, most of whom she will undoubtedly feel soooo superior to.

My opinion on both Simpson and Arias: Killers who should be locked away forever, and thankfully are. Just because one killer is honest about the reasons for her own killing and the other is not, doesn't change the actions of the crimes and doesn't elevate one killer as somehow better. Both are a danger to society and both earned their way into life sentences, and with both locked away, society will be safe from each of them. True justice doesn't really exist since the victims are still dead no matter what else happens, so this is as close as it's going to get.

As for just Arias herself, I've shared my feelings about her many times over the months, but I'll say it again: I feel she is a jealous, discarded woman who refused to move on and who was so immersed in her obsession the only way she thought she could get over it was to kill the object of her obsession (Travis). I see her as someone who could have made a decent life for herself but chose the path of destruction.

bbm. I agree that she could have had a decent life if she had been willing to choose a better path. We know from the IQ test scores that were discussed at trial that she has slightly higher than average intelligence, and it seems clear to me that she wanted a certain level of material things. She could have gotten a GED, worked her way to a two year degree at a community college and then perhaps transferred on to a four year school. She could have trained for a career in a field that doesn't require a 4 year degree. She could have worked hard as a waitress, learned how to manage a restaurant and perhaps opened her own restaurant one day. Plenty of people have done those things. She could have gone in any number of directions that would have been better than what she chose. Had she been willing to work hard she could have had those things she wanted (cars, home, travel) as well as the self-respect that comes from achievement. But she chose otherwise.

I continue to be fascinated by Jodi Arias. She's such a strange brew of sociopathy, I'm still trying to figure her out in a way that my brain can make sense of. I guess that's why I'm still here. Given how inscrutable she is, my fascination might last a lot longer than this thread! But for the time being, my thanks to everyone here for continuing to provide thoughts and insight.

I saw a documentary or read an article (maybe someone posted it here) about how cell phones are being smuggled into the prisions nowadays. I guess it's a big problem. It made me wonder if maybe jodi had a smuggled cell phone in her cell.

It will be interesting to read Sheriff Joe's report, I'm sure if she had someone smuggle her one in it would be in that report.

Well at least we all know now where CMJA is likely to HIDE the cell phone or other contraband, its certainly the right size!!!!!!! :giggle:

I loved hearing from Holly in her interview with Jeff Gold. She said the only way Jodi Arias was not getting a vote of death from her was if she did not know right from wrong . "She absolutely did know," Holly opined. No nonsense. She also said she saw NO remorse in Jodi Arias!


The other juror in this interview; Rod, believes that the "tainted juror", as Travis's sister called her, juror#17 hopes to write a book on this case. He also said they gave the *advertiser censored* issue a total of two seconds consideration.

Hi Zoey. Myself and at least one more poster (can't recall who right now) had posted a question to you. We were asking if you knew Travis, or his family on a personal level? Also, did you attend any of the trial? I had read a couple of posts that implied you were a friend of Travis'. I know you do a lot of research and I am just curious. TIA.

We have learned a lot from this case. By nature I tend to mind my own business but never again will I hesitate to warn friends when I sense danger or see red flags all over the place. Better safe than sorry. Always.

I can't recall who was asking if we thought Jodi Arias authored Sandy's speech. Yes, certainly! Jodi Arias has never had one original thought and she likely copied some of it from someone else too. Let's recall how Google had to remove her blog entries that she copied, outright from other authors.

E Bay wont be selling her art and Google will be keeping an eye out for anything with her name on it. She now has an audience of one. I think Sandy Arias cooperated with Jodi as a way to throw her a bone. Her visits will be few and far between. I do not think there is a genuine relationship there. Part of what Sandy Arias says publicly is to protect herself and to convince herself. Her truth was raw in the police interview.
We know that Sandy Arias does not believe Jodi has a beautiful soul. Indeed her exact words to Detective Flores were "Jodi has mental problems" .

Pop did not even blink. He instead went into the story of how Jodi snuck up on Travis' house and peeked in to his windows when he was making out with a girl, all the while she thought she was going to marry that dude. Good thing Jodi didn't prepare remarks for her pop to read. His absence spoke volumes.

Furthermore, I'd bet my home she authored the packet of letters that were submitted to the judge under seal from her family. If anyone in her family WANTED to be there, they would have been. If my daughter or sister's life were on the line I would swing rope to rope to get to there to BEG the judge.

He's 29 and so far I love her,but I find myself analyzing her actions and words when I see her. When my son went to the Bahamas with her in Feb. he asked me to go to his apt. and turn the bathroom faucet on a drip stream. It was 0 out and the maintence people were afraid the pipes woul melt. There were about 5 cards from her there. I only looked at one and the heading was: to the man I am going to marry! I didn't dare tell him. Right away I thought of JA,LOL

IMO, Killer's family not being in court, especially for sentencing, had nothing to do with finances. Where there is a will, there is a way...they would have been there if they wanted to be. One or two of the misguided would have paid their way if necessary, just for the asking.
