There is also a core group over there, that have a long complicated theory of the crime. They proudly proclaim that Det Flores and a group of Mormons FRAMED poor innocent JA, and the palm print was 'planted' by Flores, and the photos of the 'body drag' were not Jodi, because you csn tell by the strip on the pants they were not hers, they match the stripe of Mesa Police Officers uniform pants....

Some of them are 100% nucking futs, and women who have been in DV situations, if so, sad for them. The scammer SJ who leads that cult said "maybe I need to post the pic of the pedo in a body bag again?" He is one sick individual!! There was one admin. that asked him not to post it though, high 5 to her. A few regulars haven't posted since it came out about the Juror list... hmm, one (at least) talks to the CMJA, so maybe she is panicking at the thought of being outed. LMAO. All JMO. When this all comes to light, mouths are gonna' be running.

I'm not so sure she couldn't have access to a Twitter account in Perryville just as easily as she has one at Estrella. If her Twitterer is a member of the defense team, authorities have no way to block or listen in on conversations. If the Twitterer is someone on the outside and not on her legal team, authorities can remove them from Jodi's permissible call list.

Why hasn't the account been reported to Twitter? It must break one of their policies. Like perhaps the impersonation policy? It can be proven that whomever is posting is impersonating an incarcerated person. :dunno:

I truly do wish I could accept this verdict and it not bother me, but I would be lying if I said I don't care about the results or how it came to be. The memory of it will always bring me back to a very sad and unjust day in our court system. Every time I see that happen it seems to stick with me forever.

All throughout this case I posted often about my fears that Travis' life and death would not be valued as much by this jury as many other jurors do when the victim is female and the defendant is a man. So, when I first heard they were hung, I wasn't surprised. That is what I expected. What I did not expect was a rogue juror. One juror who was able to tear the very fabric of our justice system to shreds with one vote. I will not lie, it hit me hard in the gut leaving me in tears and the memory of that injustice will forever remain.

There have been other dark days which have left indelible scars on our justice system beside JAs where justice was snatched away from the victims and I remember them all. I have always been a firm believer in justice for ALL. I hate when gender of either the offender or the victim is taken into account. It often changed the proper outcome whether the murderer was let off scott free or the punishment was incorrect based on the evidence entered including aggravators and mitigation.

But my faith was renewed when I found out that eleven out of the twelve wanted very badly to give death to JA.....not because they are vengeful people but they took all of the evidence and came to the only verdict that suited the crime that had been carried out against Travis.

And then there was one.:(

And that one made a mockery out the justice system. We as a society... should want any juror who commits perjury (if the investigations shows this to be true) to be punished. If the DA doesn't send a strong message to the community where jurors are picked from... that this behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated...... then they are opening the flood gates for more rogue jurors to get on high profile cases. If not the lone wolf will know even if they lie to get on the jury there will be no repercussions from it by the state attorney's office.

If she lied about anything I do want her to be prosecuted. No one should be above the law. If she lied she not only caused undue pain and suffering to the Alexander family, she also caused much pain to her fellow jurors and rendered an unjust vote devaluing Travis' life. We just cant allow for these kind of jurors to be on death penalty trials.

As far as my opinion personally, I don't take much comfort having to settle for less knowing she is just going to prison instead of death row. I doubt Travis's siblings do either.

If there ever was a case that warranted the death penalty it certainly was this case. The punishment of death should have been rendered because the evidence supported nothing else. IMO
The only reason I'm satisfied with the verdict is because the DP is a joke, and a self-contained miscarriage of justice all on its own. And I'm also delighted that not a single one of the fair-minded people on that jury bought one lie the defense team tried to force down their throats for months on end.

I haven't got the patience (or frankly, the interest) to keep reading about this trial much longer. I appear to be one of the only people on the whole internet who thinks that the mistrial was sad, and frustrating, but acceptable and that JSS will give JA the maximum possible sentence.

Just briefly, can anyone tell me: what exactly do you want out of prosecuting Juror #17 if the official investigation proves she's guilty of perjury in jury selection? JA will never be eligible for the death penalty again.

I am not sure what the charge could be or would be, but in my case I think that if it is proven that she is guilty there does need to be a punishment. My logic is that we cannot have a system where a 'holdout' has another agenda. If that were her opinion after honest (not just technical) deliberations, then ok. If its true that she refused to give honest deliberations a chance then this is not right for everyone. Perhaps with making someone who has been proven to be dishonest, an example, it would discourage others from trying to mimic this escapade. I have nothing personal against #17, but she evidently has issues with the facts of the case. After spending 4-5 months of one's life listening to JA drivel, the very least that is expected is honest debate in jury room.

I remember reading somewhere that a guy was putting those tweets out, Ben E? Not sure it's true, but whoever said it sure was. I will see if I can find it later.

Just when I thought those unique individuals couldn't be anymore 'unique'

That is off the charts & generally worrying for their mental states

I think that Jodi may have gotten the message that but for one, the jury in AZ determined that nothing less than her death would be just for the horrific murder she accomplished. But until she actually died as a result of whatever method AZ would use, after years of appeals, no one who supported her death sentence would be relieved of their rage and pain. I think (personally) that that rage and pain can never be relieved It is a horrific tragedy all the "justice" on the planet cannot change . I hope that she fades away from injured parties consciousness, so that they can only remember their love for Travis. JMO

that it's not the juror-it's a high school student in CA. I hadn't latched onto that story as it seemed suspect-that she would be using that name and doing a school presentation in 2013.

BUT, there are some stories floating around about her family links to a ministry group involved in the prisons and anti DP stuff. I haven't looked at it closely enough to figure out if it has any truth to it.

My personal feeling is not that she's a DP activist, or at least that was not her motive here.

Should be easy to verify. Some claimed to have checked Arizona's Public Records under Marriages under the writer's name and Juror #17 1st husbands name was listed.

Not if she is indigent. In that case the state pays for all her appeals. Info by AZLawyer.

You might be right, but...... that would likely mean Jodi would get a generic public defender. No $2 million heavy weight. Anything better than a regular public defender (I don't mean to malign public defenders, but there will be a lot of tricky obstacles to working with Jodi) will be from Jodi's pocket.

Hopefully, any assets JA raises will be diverted to the Alexanders, as well as any accumulations in her commissary account. LWOP without commissary niceties is going to be a fate exponentially worse than death.

So long ago this case was about Travis Alexander.....

Now, it's about Sherry and defending her and not offending anyone on the defense team and making excuses for J17....and about Jodi Arias and her rights and her feelings and her comfort or lack thereof. And, anti DP and anti Mormon.

Travis Alexander is barely mentioned.

Sad isn't it...

Only thing I'm really happy about is that Jodi will never be able to hurt another person ever again.

I'm glad she got life in prison. jmo

But she could hurt someone again, it could happen to a guard, another prisoner, a doctor, etc. It could take a while, but it could happen. Hopefully she will be the one to feel a beat down first though.

If Twitter would just change their rules to only the account owner by name can post on the Twitter account. Facebook rules state this. Then one little complaint to Twitter showing that she is in prison and does not have access to Twitter would finally get her to SHUT UP. UNUSUAL person. UNUSUAL person. Mumbling under my breath....

I agree. Can you imagine KN or JW trying to pad their resumes with this case the way it ended? Although they probably both will. They have no shame.

MOO

to make this "go away" as it does not benefit the system. It makes the whole system look bad and that's never considered a good thing by the system involved. That's where people like KCL and the jurors come in. This is all coming up only because of "citizens". No one in the system goes looking for trouble.

unfortunately this is gonna die pretty fast unless AZ does some fast investigation and goes after this juror...in general the country as a whole does not even remember Jodi Arias and I don't think national media is going to take this very far...a few interviews with the jurors and it will be history. Only place to get info is here or similar sites. I don't know one person that cares about this case. Thanks to all here for keeping this alive and all the links etc.

I'm no legal expert but I do know that perjury is a crime that occurs when an individual willfully makes a false statement during a judicial proceeding, after he or she has taken an oath to speak the truth. JW and KN knew that their "expert" witnesses were going to lie. They were coached to lie. They were hired guns. They also coached their own client to lie after she admitted during an interview that she had no mitigating factors at all.

They did not know they were going to lie. They hired them to give their opinion. That is all it is is opinion. That is not perjury.

I'm more concerned about the lies and manipulation that she's going to perpetuate about the prison employees. Lies about sexual misconduct, abuse both physical and mental, etc. They truly are her next victims. I wonder how many are chomping at the bit in Estrella for her to get the heck out of there?

One could argue that a death penalty sentence would potentially carry greater weight in the eyes of would-be offenders of such crimes constituting its invocation if there were a more tangible feel to its being carried out. I can see many of our more narcissistic criminal minds thinking they can hang up proceedings in the guilt phase alone, much less ever seeing the working end of a needle.
