I think that is very possible. Maybe he gave Michael the location who then picked her up and moved her. I can't see Michael being so worried about his car unless he thought there was at least a smidgen of evidence possible. But I don't think the place is necessarily logical, e.g., a path somewhere between Michael and Josh's locations.

Agreed. While many of us thought Steven Powell was the key to finding Susan, it seems to have actually have been Michael.

I believe Michael had to "have custody" of Susan's body at one point & put her in his car.

I read the book that was recently written by Jennifer Graves (Josh's eldest sister, who cut ties with Josh & the other siblings over Susan's disappearance). Jennifer went to the Powell home in Washington & basically confronted Josh & his dad (who responded by kicking her out). After learning what we've recently learned about Michael, she wrote that she is kicking herself for not thinking to confront Michael; he wasn't even on her radar as far as a possible perp or accessory. Even family members were blind sided by that.

Interesting. I would bet Steve Powell put Michael up to being involved. I still think Steve knows all about what happened to Susan. Poor Jennifer, but what a strong person she is.

Just came into my head. Could SP have driven Michael's car?

Possible, but doubtful in my mind. When the information came out about Michael, it was revealed that Michael and Josh talked on encrypted cell phones after Susan disappeared. They were bugging Steven's phone calls to Josh, but they did not get any information from the conversations that Josh had with Michael. Unfortunately, I think that Michael's involvement was a complete surprise to many.

I want her to be found for her parents. It seems like it might give them a little peace in this horror. But I just think that he made sure she will never be found. I would bet he burned her or buried her in an impossible place to find.

I so wish for updates on this case. For her to be found, for someone (alive or dead) to be found responsible for her death. :(

Body parts found... It's a long shot but it's not far from Puyallup... :please:
(Who else could it be, who else is missing up there recently enough to have a full leg?)

It is very unclear whether these are all bones or not.
It sounds like the leg is NOT just bone.

But then the "skull, pelvis and rib cage" make me think those are bones.
Especially because they don't know if it's a man or a woman.
They could tell that if it was more than bones since they have the pelvis.

Flowers says the leg was gray in color and appeared it was dismembered about 4 inches from the buttocks.

-------------------------------

After police were alerted, search and rescue dogs found more remains -- a pelvis and rib cage -- in the woods, at an old fish hatchery.

Dog brings home human leg; search turns up more body parts

Liberty didn't lead them to anything helpful. But the trained dogs found a skull, pelvis and a rib cage in nearby woods.

Authorities did not know whether the remains belonged to a man or woman.

I have a feeling this could be Susan. For her family's sake I am so hopeful that it IS so that they can rest, in peace, for they of all people deserve to lay her to rest.

I wonder what that building is; the photos are all on the link; it's some kind of garage and I wonder how close it is to the area where the Powells lived....or worked. Esp his brother.

Cherry, I don't think this is Susan. This is in my area: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Skull still on hillside near Highway 89, just off Mountain Road, in the Fruit Heights.

I believe they show a very up close version of the skull. On the front page of KSL right now.
I couldn't eliminate Susan based on the teeth shown with the skull.
They are consistent with hers... but clearly that isn't proof of anything.

The skull had "definitely has been there for awhile," Servey noted.
But she could not say Friday whether that meant it had been there 10 years or 100 years.

Can they bring in a forensic dentist and get records/DNA from her parents to compare???

The skull looked like there were teeth still attached. That's a good thing. Someone is going to get an answer to their missing loved one, but darn it's so close to where Susan lived & hope the search for Susan is over for the Cox's soon.

They will bring in a forensic dentist but all the teeth are not there.
(At least not in the skull.)
Hopefully the important ones are there.
