That would probably be a bit too obvious. I wouldn't fancy the chances of his next wife, (and we all know there would be a next wife), of living to an old age though.

Unless you're planning to marry him, you're probably safe enough...

obvious like a bullet in a witnesses driveway you mean? During trial no less.

If he walks away from this, I will not be at all surprised if some of the witnesses that testified against him, turn up dead or missing.

I would be so frightened if he gets out and walks free.

You're right Katy! He gives me the creeps! DP is capable of anything. I hate to say this but he is almost worse than FCA because he isn't scared of anyone and being an X LE officer makes him even more cocky and arrogant along with being a complete physcopath. I feel so bad for all the kids. I thought they were living with one of Drew's older Son's. I can't understand why Stacey's family didn't fight for those children, I sure would. I would not let that creep keep any of my family members.

It didn't turn up during trial, but yes it was obvious. Not quite as obvious as a prosecution witness turning up dead or disappeared, however.

No need to be snappy - and most certainly not at me. It is the prosecution's duty to show this a-hole killed his ex-wife beyond a reasonable doubt. They are doing the worst job possible.

I know the prosecution's job is to prove their case, and that in some cases that is not an easy task. I also feel that if they do not have a winning case, they should not charge until such time as they have that. Even if that time never comes.

I was not snapping at anyone and I sincerely apologize if I came across as doing that. There are some threads on WS that I cannot participate in, for my own good. This thread seems to be one of them. I will continue to follow the trial, though. Up until the time when I just cannot take it any longer.

Peace.

Well, how obvious was it that Stacey went missing, right after he was under scrutiny for Kathleen's death? He did not seem too worried about looking obvious.

Also, he is getting older and more sociopathic, imo. Something like this, if he walks away with a mistrial with prejudice---will embolden him to the point of psychosis, imo. He will feel truly untouchable. If his ex-neighbors end up in their car at the bottom of the cliff, how could anyone prove DP did it? He is getting pretty good at covering his tracks.

sorry, just being facetious. I find DP to be the most arrogant, obnoxious, power happy man ever. I just cannot stomach him so I would put next to nothing past him. Why not, seems to have gotten away with it so far. Why not murder a couple of witnesses as well.

This one is frustrating for us all, Krkrjx. I don't blame you for tuning out. :banghead:

I don't think he was under that much scrutiny after Kathleen's death. She was buried with no murder investigation having been launched. He could just about still kid himself at that stage that he could get away with another one.

Not after this though, he'd need a strong motive to kill after this. He wouldn't have anything to gain by killing witnesses in a failed prosecution against him.

I would strongly advise any of the ladies in his locality not to marry him though...

At the very least I bet he will try and scare them and make their lives miserable. He is not just going to ignore or forgive them, imo. He is a twisted and evil man, and they will be on his radar for the rest of his free life. imo
As to what he would gain, revenge. He is not a rational man, he is a bitter, sick man. JMO

I could have not said it better. He is possibly one of the scariest and most despicable people I know. He does not even have the mask of a psycopath.

Absolutely agree. He would see them as people who have done him a grevious, unforgiveable harm. Revenge would be fighting with self preservation in his head while weighing up whether or not he should kill them.

He's a high functioning sociopath though, so self preservation would probably win.

Can you blame him? The *advertiser censored* must be relishing in the stupidity of the prosecution :maddening:

Yep, sea-chickory -- and this roadshow today just reinforces to the po-po sitting in his cell with his ear-to-ear grin, that YES!, he is indeed smarter than everybody else, just like he thought. Grrrrrr.:banghead:

IM telling you I wouldnt make a good juror in cases like this.. I dont think i could just ignore the fact that the neighbor found a bullet in his driveway no matter what the judge told me to stike.. It would be there in the back of mind just waiting to add to deciding guilt.. ..
I know i wouldnt be good juror.. just saying

Of course, its his fault completely. But its the prosecution's job to make their case beyond reasonable doubt, and they are fluffing it with unforced errors, poorly framed questions and poorly prepared witnesses.

The prosecution are not doing a good job here. That's not the judge's fault, he can only apply the law.

I agree. They had what? 3 years to prepare? It's inexcusable, imo. I don't like the accused nor his defence team but I don't blame them for their motion to toss the case out. This is the second motion for mistrial in 1 1/2 days. Unheard of. Ever.

Bold red mine.

Is the defense trying to imply that 14 yr. old Nick P. was having a sexual relationship with Kathleen? Good GAWD! :maddening:
Good catch. Copying over the quote of n/t's since quote's don't carry over.

Defense says Pontarelli's son Nick was "a little too close" to kathleen savios

As far as Pontarelli knows, her son Nick saw Kathleen Savio alive last. #DrewPeterson

Pontarelli saw a light on at Savios home but taught she must have been studing. #DrewPeterson

Defense: "kathy was no pushover... she would fight back, right?" Witness: yes #DrewPeterson

diane pathieu‏@dianepathieu
Defense asking witness about 'arguing' between Drew & Kathleen.

diane pathieu‏@dianepathieu
Defense asking about Italian connection among neighbors & how friendly neighbors were. #DrewPeterson

Additionally, the question about the "Italian connection" caught my attention. Is the defense trying to imply something about these Italian neighbors? Maybe a mafia or not so up and up connection?

He walks away from this.. he is the luckiest unlucky SOB ever.

I was thinking the exact same thing. The thought of DP being free is a scary one indeed.

Defense implying or outright saying that the bruising on KS body was from rough sex w/ her boyfriend. HTH would THEY know that? Also, how is saying she had sex that w/e with
her boyfriend relevant to the case, except to establish the boyfriend was with her?

I wondered about that too. Good thoughts on why the defense would even mention she had sex that weekend. I honestly could not see a point or purpose of mentioning such, until your post.

back to catching up on the thread.

Didnt Baez and company ask for a mistrial three or four times in the early days of the trial?
