Check in all you upper East Coast and Canadian members...we need to know you're alright. :blowkiss:

Thanks! All good in Toronto, and no one hurt. It felt like a damn good shake! We have constuction across the street so that was another option we thought of until suddenly, we realized, hey, this was an earthquake and sure enuff everyone was chatting about it.

Pray no aftershock!

Hugs btw

I just read on another blog, that Ohio had a quake. Could it be the same one, or is it different?

I think that this quake could be felt in parts of Ohio, but my local news channels mentioned the quake in the 80's that I definitely felt. The epicenter was near Cleveland. I've lived in north-suburban Detroit for almost 40 years.

We felt it here. When it first hit, I thought it was my toddler breaking up the house.

Just heard the News...Hope everyone is OK!! I can't believe it was so widespread...This is getting scary. Earthquakes EVERYWHERE!! And in odd places.

Hope you are all alright. I know some of you may feel alittle shook up. That was an Earthquake. Very wide spread from reading the posts above. Don't know what to think of all this crazy stuff happening. Hold somebody's hand today is my advice.

It shook the chandeliers at parliament in Ottawa today during a debate, and then grew worse - some of them thought it was a terrorist attack, at first!

Likely the fastest any political body ever moved, I'd think.

My chair started to sway back and forth on the eighth floor. I first thought I was just getting whoozie but I looked at the person across from me and we began to laugh. She thought the same thing. I'm in London, Ontario. I drove past a government building on my way home and they had all evacuated.

It was felt throughout Indiana, as well, although I did not feel it.

we are in Montreal, and my son felt it but my grandmother and I didn't but that is just us, we are pretty oblivious to those things but if the house started to fall down we would probably take notice of it.

Coming in late here ... from Baldwinsville, N.Y. ... just outside of Syracuse. I was driving at the time, and didn't feel it, but my sister did. She lives very close to me. She said some things fell off the shelves, and that there were several aftershocks.

I'm in Georgia and I didn't feel a thing.

OK, I'm sorry. I was just feeling left out.

We have small quakes here quite frequently, though, and that's no joke.

Hope everyone is ok up north.
