I agree. I wish the State District Attorney had reviewed the case and the local decision regarding only pursuing the Aggravated Manslaughter Charge.

The totality showing pre conceived intent seems clear: Continuous provocation, "researching" self defense laws, more provocation, then, as another member noted, shooting through the door at head level upon hearing the victim knock and speak.

The state has rested. Defense stated that the state failed to prove their case and requested an acquittal.


Edit: Judge denied acquittal.

There is no doubt in my mind this defendant will be convicted. Defendant will not do well in prison. Speculation.

Not sure what the defense 1st witness adds to the case? She didn’t know SL or witness the crime. She only heard the yelling and gunshot. She was about a football (100 yds long) field away from the murder. moo
