thankx windchime!

Luvin' the Valentine's display!!

Can anyone tell me if anything new is going on in this case? Its difficult to find any information. Also, what is the warning?

If we were going to suspect Misty of having been responsible for Haleigh's disappearance this is the most logical explanation I've seen.

So following that thought, there is contention between Dad and bio-mom. When the kids go to visit bio-mom, she might have been asking the kids about their life in that trailer with Dad and Misty. Like for instance, what does she cook for you to eat? Does she let you... Does she make you...

If she were angry enough I can see her making remarks, letting the children know that Misty was not their Mother and they didn't have to listen to her or do such and such if they didn't want to.

Then might have a situation where Haleigh or she and her brother were telling Misty what they didn't have to do because "she wasn't their Momma"

I could see where that could possibly set off a young woman with little to no other options other than staying in that relationship. She could snap. I never thought that Misty would have snapped but I can see where this might happen given the right circumstances.

I, myself, am still not sure what happened to Haleigh.

I have been through this before at 17 years old! My stepsons were 3 and 1..I know what it was like. I wasn't able to discipline, or even send the 3 year old to time out. He told me I wasn't his mom, and that his mom would beat me up. My stepkids mom left them a year later, and I have raised them since, yet for years I endured alot of anger that their mom instilled in them. There was times I would leave them with their dad, and go back home to my mom and dad overnight because it hurt my feelings so bad yet couldn't get on to them because I knew it wasn't their faults.
Mind you, my stepkids loved me and would tell their mother they did.
I think with Ron and bio mom's relationship already rocky, those kids were questioned about each other in both homes. And I am sure that Misty got the brunt of the backlash from it all..
Misty is the only one who can't keep her story straight. I think she did something horrible.

OK I have to ask again..how is the dad doing a 3-3 shift of 12 hours?
If he picks up his child and gets her home after school there is no way he can work 3-3:waitasec:

Got me again hehehe

Good night everyone. I have enjoyed to the fullest. May there be quick resolve for Haleigh and those who care and adore her. I am grateful for the warm cozy atmosphere I've had the pleasure in posting in these few days around here and I owe it all to each and everyone of you.

I will be here again tomorrow, I've been sick and have been healing up, have sweet dreams.

Maybe we'll have that forum tomorrow, we're reaching our highest of plateaus for one subject for websleuths without it being a forum and we haven't even recieved any info, or poi's named yet. This case may be around for a while, it looks like. Take care, peace and love to you all.

Thank you mods for the excellence in being prompt and maintaining this forum for all of our posting pleasures. Websleuths rocks!

The warning on the last thread was just that it was going to close, so that people would know to move over to this one.

I don't think there is anything new except police vow that they aren't scaling back the search, but they moved the search headquarters.

Not really anything new. ANd we actually got warning that the last thread was closing.

I don't have an answer, but it makes me wonder too.

OMG I worship the monkey. Everytime I see your avatar I think it is soo cool.
Hope u feel better, sweet dreams.

Frankly, bio-mom didn't seem to have much insight on the kids lives. When asked on NG about Haleigh's absences from school, she didn't know why, or how often she was absent, or much of anything. If it were me, I'd be all over those details and ragging on bio-dad to get his act together!
By Absolutely Addicted

Oh I agree. I was reading in one of the earlier threads and bio-Mom really hemmed and hawed on questions about the children and also as to why she doesn't have custody.

She said IIRC something along the lines that she didn't have custody because she didn't want to keep the kids from Ronnie so she let them visit. He filed for custody and etc...

Here is the deal though, someone else posted that in the doc thread bio-mom had left the kids with Ronnie for three months before he filed for custody.

OT but you want to know how we got custody of my two step daughters? Their Mom sent them to visit us a week after we got married and after they had been with us 2 yrs and moved once (to Germany) we filed for custody. So it was a visit that went on in her mind for 2 years...heh. (no visits or calls from mom either)

Anyhoo, back on topic. I'm not sure we can discount the theory that bio-mom might have been mad enough to say things in front of or to the children to make them dislike or disobey Misty (not deliberately on the kids part).

I just thought it the most logical reasoning I've seen for the theory of why Misty would injure Haleigh and possibly hide her body.

I really don't know.

Yeah, I've seen this asked several times since the case first broke and I don't think anyone (not even LE) knows the answer to this. The only things I can speculate is that he was late for work?

I don't think I've seen any confirmation anywhere stating those were his hours. I think it started as an assumption on someone's part. Frankly, it would surprise me that crane operators would be allowed to work 12-hour shifts....like truck drivers, you'd think they would be mandated to have some time off to rest after 10 hours for safety reasons.

Oh I get what you are saying and I've seen this scenario plenty of times!

I wonder if this was an everyday thing as well. He could have asked to go in a little late, take the cut in pay since they only had one vehicle.
But then I don't understand why she didn't get off the bus at her home too..
