April Nicole Adkins, 37, was reported missing by her family on Feb. 21, several months after they last had contact with her in November 2023, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Law enforcement and Adkins’ family are concerned for her safety, according to the release, but no other details about what made her disappearance suspicious were announced.

According to an incident report made Feb. 21, someone claiming to be Adkins’ sister called the sheriff’s office to say she had been unable to contact her since Nov. 23. The person said that Adkins was possibly trying to “stay low” due to an arrest warrant, the report states, but details about that claim were not provided
