No info on if the Torino is still missing, though they do denote its plate number.
 
The DMV would have a record of tag renewals. But if there’s no updates, I’m guessing water too. If they know where he was headed or what direction he left, they could do a Google Earth search. Maybe the car would be visible.

I wonder if anyone has done a family tree on Ancestry that would have a note about him.
