According to the arrest report, he told people he was a Pensacola Police Departement detective investigating the missing person’s case involving Cassandra Robinson.
Williams has never been employed by the police department.

Now how is he related to her case? Just a volunteer trying to assist in locating her? A wannabe cop with nothing else to do? Is he up to something nefarious with his actions? Or, completely innocent (cough cough)?

I was first going to start the post asking "Which one of you was that?" (LOL) but it seems he is the owner of the Milton K9 Academy and used some unconventional investigation techniques.

Here's some more and statements from him: PPD: Man impersonated a detective investigating missing Pensacola woman

So many questions on this one.. Owner of the cargo container, motive for someone to suddenly break what should be an obvious law to a K-9 volunteer also listed at the bottom of the wanted poster, any kind of trail of the girl, there’s background of this that’s left unmentioned so far. Curious and concerned. Keeping eyes and ears open

Pensacola police identify suspect, work to locate crime scene in missing woman's death

Pensacola Police Department spokesman Mike Wood said he cannot yet confirm details of her death as the body is still with the Medical Examiner at Sacred Heart Hospital, but he said PPD has developed a suspect in the case. That person, whose identity isn't being released, is currently in custody on unrelated charges and there is no danger to the public.

Investigators believe Robinson was not killed at the cargo trailer but rather her body was put there, and authorities do not yet know the location of the crime scene.

One of the investigators, Milton Search and Rescue volunteer Stephen Williams, 39, was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of impersonating a police officer as he questioned a woman at the Pensacola Village Apartments.

Wood confirmed Williams is not a suspect in the homicide case.

Steiger, 53, was charged Friday with second degree murder in the death of Cassandra Robinson, 25, who had been missing for months. The woman’s body was found in a storage drum inside a cargo trailer at 65th Avenue and Fairfield Drive on July 11, but Pensacola Police Department investigators believe she could have been killed as long ago as Feb. 1 when she was last seen.

Investigators still don’t have a crime scene, nor a cause or manner of death. PPD spokesman Mike Wood said Friday that Steiger is not cooperating with police.

Robinson said the family met Steiger in 2013 when he and Cassandra started seeing each other, but she said they didn’t move to Pensacola until a few years later. When Cassandra was pregnant with Evelyn, Robinson said her sister told her it wasn’t Steiger’s baby, so Robinson thinks Steiger may have found out and became violent.

Sounds like the sister had it figured out. I wonder what his federal probation was for?

Cassandra Robinson murder: Child's father charged in death of missing Pensacola woman

Henry M. Steiger III, 53, was charged with murder more than two weeks after the 25-year-old’s body was found in a cargo trailer near 65th Avenue and Fairfield Drive.

Police say Steiger, who is currently in custody on other charges, killed the woman Feb. 1 and disposed of her body in a storage drum inside the cargo trailer, which he owned. Steiger had a hot air balloon company for several years and used the trailer to store hot air balloon supplies.

Steiger is in the Santa Rosa County Jail on a U.S. Marshal hold for a violation of probation in a federal case. He was serving a recently imposed three years of probation for 2014 wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud charges.

Report: Man strangled girlfriend with bare hands while she held their child
More details emerged once investigators pulled phone records. Texts and calls on February 1 around 7:45 p.m. led them to Julian Mesure. Steiger was starting a coffee company with Mesure in downtown Pensacola. Mesure told investigators that Steiger confessed to the murder in February.

Steiger had callled him in a panic and asked him to come over. He told him that Robinson was trying to leave with the baby so he strangled her as she was holding the baby and that the child fell to the floor.

Mesure told investigators that Steiger had spoken about getting rid of Robinson for awhile. The report states he had three plans: "sell her to slavery, pay her off, or kill her".

Murder trial to start for Pensacola man accused of killing mother of his child

A trial is expected to start this morning for a Pensacola man who is accused of killing the mother of his child and stashing her body in a storage drum inside a cargo trailer.

Henry M. Steiger, 53, faces a charge of second-degree murder in connection to the death of 25-year-old Cassandra Robinson. A jury was selected Monday, and opening arguments are scheduled to begin today.

Steiger's trial this week is solely for the second-degree murder of Robinson.

He faces additional fraud charges related to a separate case that law enforcement uncovered while investigating Robinson’s death, court records show.

Steiger's next court date related to the fraud charges is scheduled for June 25.
