The law enforcement officer testifying right now, is intentionally raising her eyelids and not blinking during parts of her testimony, thus giving her a crazy appearance. It's sure making me wonder what is going on... and not in a good way.
Break time. Didn't they just come back from lunch? I guess we're not going to hear the audio interview of Reeves by Det. Proctor.
ETA: Oh, I see now that we will be hearing the interview of Reeves.
Fun Fact: In the interview, you should be able to hear Det. Proctor telling Reeves that a Forensic Tech. is going to be testing him for GSR (gun shot residue on his hands). Reeves asks Proctor: "What's GSR?"
Interesting. Did they have GSR tests in 1993 when he retired?
"GSR analysis has improved since its inception in the early 1970s. Today, technicians use scanning electron microscopy (SEM) machines to automatically analyze adhesive filters."
Gun Shot Residue Testing - Is it Still a Viable Form of Physical Evidence?
Yes, but the statement was not allowed in.Was there any medical and/or anger-related history on Reeves prior to this incident?
Yes, but the statement was not allowed in.
Curtis Reeves had previous run-ins with moviegoers, but they won't be heard (abcactionnews.com)

So what percentage of people in a movie theater are carrying weapons?
Of all people, a retired policeman should have known how to reasonably approach someone.
Time in prison serves him right for killing the father of a three-year old who was texting his kid.
Problem was, the man shot was standing, looming over the ex-cop, in the dark, shouting at him, and throwing a bag of popcorn apparently. In the dark, throwing a bag of popcorn would probably look much more threatening that it was. The Cop was sitting back in his chair. The cop thought the guy was going to attack him, with fists or worse, and he was in no position to defend against an attack by a much younger man, sitting sunken back in a movie theater chair. I think it will be found that under the laws of Florida, he was justified to shoot the man threatening him, especially because he was elderly and unable to defend himself except in the way he did. I believe the cop will be acquitted, or else get a hung jury.
IMO, a husband and a father with responsibilities toward his family should know better than to loom over an elderly man and act in a threatening manner-- especially one who is sitting back in his chair and positionally at a disadvantage. If the rules of the theater say say to put away your cellphone, then put away your cellphone. Those rules are there for a purpose and texting/talking during a performance that other people have paid money to see is rude. People need to be polite in public. Never argue with a stranger! I remember my father taught me that.
By saying the victim made a huge mistake and got himself killed, I am not victim bashing, just making the point in a state like Florida, where concealed carry of a deadly weapon is legal, people need to be smart and assume that other people are carrying, and refrain from confrontations with strangers that could get you killed.

Just noticed in that post you quoted it said he was texting his kid. Turned out that wasn't true.
