I wonder what they can even do in Duanes case. His little body was cremated according to JW brother. They have nothing to exhume. I hate these people. She is demented, and he is just disgusting. I hate to lay blame, but shame on those relatives that knew of their tendencies and did not intervene. I wouldn't trust KW with my pet rock.

Also, and I am not saying this is always the case, but often criminal tendencies are learned and accepted as normal stuff in dysfunctional families.

I am not excusing what these awful people did, but sometimes people like these were raised in less-than-lawful or healthy households and the examples they had to follow were not so good.

NOT saying it is the case here, but that often it is a pattern. I guess we will find out more very soon, thank you State of Florida.

Well that doesn't really tell us any more than we already knew. Good work finding it though.

I know, right? I'm irritated because I spent hours looking for the darn thing, only to be disappointed when I finally found it. Bah.

It also seems as though some friends or family members may have suggested to KB that she not get another dog, given her ability to care for living things. She was posting how everyone was being negative h8ters. (Because she is always the victim)

As for the sports thing, it doesn't appear that dreamboat had a job, so ya know, gotta fill the hours somehow. Meth and sports? Why, yes, thank you!

To be fair, dreamboat didn't have a prayer in h&ll of getting a job with record he had. What's a dreamboat like that to do. I know! Find a sick woman in your rehab group, make her go to work to support you, sponge off friends and relatives for money and cars, then sit back and fill the hours with your favorite sports teams and some quality meth. It would have worked out quite well for a long, long time if he had thought to put a condom on or get a vasectomy.

Even more calculating is her posting that pic of Chance on Sep 21st - when he'd already been dead 5 days. I think she posted that pic to get the family to think everything was okay and make them stop coming to the door.

I really wonder what GM (gpa) saw that day. He and SS are no longer married, so it is not like he went home and said "gee hon, Chance looks a bit peaked". He (IMO) must have had a reason to contact SS (I assume this is what happened given her haste to get over there).

Again, speculating, but it seems as though he was concerned, called SS and she hotfooted it over there and pounded on the door but was refused entry.

Neither of KB's parents have said more about Sept. 9. But my hunch is that Chance was not good. And it makes me sick, but I think that JW and KB are telling the truth that Chance died on 9/16-17. Which makes me think that sweet baby was suffering and died after a week of misery.

God have mercy on their souls because I don't. :(

Why didn't anyone call the police on Sept. 9? These were not exemplary parents or even human beings, and their familes KNEW that. IMO, everyone failed that little soul. People suck.

Word. We do see that same pattern over and over again here, don't we? I see early indicators of that pattern starting to come out now in MS media, so I think it's more likely than not that you will be proven correct. Again. Sadly.

It worked. Nobody did a damned thing for another month.

I've thought about what KBs father saw that day that concerned him enough to send SS over there. KBs father (GM) seems to be a decent guy and I think if something was visibly wrong with Chance he would have done something about it. KB posted on FB that when JW got into his moods and tension starting rising that she would just go sit in the car and feel the sunshine and peace for a while. Perhaps what concerned GM was a general volatile atmosphere in the house while he was there?

I do believe GM would have taken action that day if Chance showed overt signs of injury or illness. I think SS would have, too. Others not so much, but those two, yes.

KB has a nice criminal history, too. Shocker. Last name Millwater. (Nothing under her married name of Bury)

Yes, she whined on FB about her felony record making it hard to get anyone to hire her for a job. She posted about how unfair it was for employers to be holding her record against her. Well gee, lady, how about not earning that felony record in the first place? That's just another example of her "nothing is my fault but everyone is out to get me" mentality.

As to the question of "why didn't someone do something sooner?!" (and a perfectly valid question). There's this thing in our society called a "bystander mentality" that is apparently so prevalent, studies have actually been done, lectures given at seminars, etc. I wouldn't know this but my oldest is rather immersed in social activism and she attends all sorts of functions and reads everything she can get her hands on, as it pertains to victim advocacy. It's different for each person but there are tons of variables that play into the whole apathy/bystander thing. From illegal activity themselves (don't want the police to look to close at them), psychological or mental health issues (tons of variables on that one alone), denial/self-deception (assuring themselves it's not that bad, therefore making themselves feel better by doing nothing) and on and on the list goes. Her and I talk about these kinds of things all the time. I know for most of us these all just sound like excuses (and in a sense, they are) but for those who knew something, saw something or heard something, one of these things obviously came into play for them to do NOTHING sooner than they finally did.

Obviously none of this kind of apathy is really new in our society. The only "new" thing is that as a society we're more open to talking about these things and addressing them and promoting support and help for victims, than in generations past. Clearly, we still have a long way to go.

moo.

I think you are saying they may be products of their environment somewhat? If so I do agree that it is possible. Also, JW family seems to enable him, her family might enable her as well. What a sin.

Boy did you hit the nail on the head.

Please excuse me quoting myself, but this is really bothering me. I have never seen FL redact an arrest warrant this heavily. SSN#s, addresses, a name here or there, but almost the entirety of this document is redacted. I'm afraid it might be really, really bad for FL (of all states) to black out the whole thing. I have a knot in my stomach when I think of Chance's last week on earth and what information that affidavit contains about it.

I might need another break from this case shortly.

That was my first thought when I read it, Then I thought of the Sheriff breaking down. It really gave me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Get out of my head!

Was thinking the same thing about how bad it must have been for FL to redact a hefty bulk of that affidavit. As if I could hate them even more.

So I guess when dreamboat appears before the judge tomorrow we can expect some more docs to be released? Hopefully not so redacted......

There was a case a few years ago where a boyfriend (surprise!), stomped his girlfriends baby to death. Stomped. I can't remember what case. It was awful. I'm starting to think this baby suffered a similar fate. Except I think maybe was "Mom" that did as much as "Dad".

6 years and 1500 posts on WS and I think this case is going to earn me my first ever time out. And I think I'm going to deserve it. My blood is absolutely boiling.
