If this couple had pulled out just a bit sooner to follow DS's van, I wonder how far they would have followed him. Always "what if".

Still seems strange. The couple never did connect with her father.

He was so giddy he had to chat to a stranger quick.......

or he was possibly trying to buy himself a little more time before panic set in. If someone had come out and asked the guy waiting in the car if he had seen them, he would respond "Yes, he told me they were going to get cheeseburgers". Rather than just "He took her away".

He had to tell the guy parked next to him that they were going to get cheeseburgers...rolled down the window

So, what do you make of that? Was it another of his ruses -- this one intended to allay any fears that Cherish may have had about leaving with him to get burgers? The vehicle was gold in color -- that was the color of his alleged "wife's" vehicle.

I don't understand- why did the Roziers think the father would be in a strange car????? Puzzling.

I think that was if someone saw Cherish in the van with him

Nah......he was just giddy

I think he did it to ease Cherish’s mind. Like hey we are going to get cheeseburgers. Maybe he told cherish that is his wife? Who knows. So odd.

Just overheard one prosecutor in #DonaldSmith trial tell the next witness things are moving "much quicker than we anticipated." #CherishPerrywinkle @ActionNewsJax

Giddy is right, too. Remember how Rayne testified about him using his hand like it was talking to her: "I'm going to get food -- what do you want?" Or something to that effect. Using his hand like a hand puppet who was talking or jabbering. Very, very odd.

It was hard to watch Cherish running around Walmart knowing what was going to happen to her. Sad.

I know it’s no ones fault but the monsters. But as always so many what if’s. so many divine interventions could have happened here but they didn’t. It’s so strange how the universe works. Again blaming no one but killer. Jmo.

I'm guessing this trial is because no deal was offered. Death sentence it is......

He was very cunning. All of the false pretenses, able to think quick to get what he wants. Look how much time RP spent shopping for items that were never going to be purchased because there was no gift card? He is a master of manipulation.
