*Pretrial Conference Hearing (re both cases) (@ 1pm ET) - FL – Damion Allen Tillman (23) Keven Michael Springfield(30) & Brandon Cyril Rollins (27) (July 17, 2020, Frostproof) - *Mary Clare Whittemore (27/now 29) TJ''s gf arrested (7/21/20), charged (7/23/20) & arraigned (8/24/20) with 3 counts of accessory after the fact of a capital felony (F1). Plead not guilty. $45K bond for accessory ($15K for each count). Must wear GPS monitor upon release. In custody.
*Charged & indicted (10/29/20) with felony 2 perjury.

1/17/23 Update: Whittemore appeared Tuesday before Judge Lori A. Winstead. Her attorney Jonathan Mills said more time was needed before he expected the trial to start. Next pretrial conference hearing on 3/7/23.

Plead not guilty. Bond $45K accessory ($15K for each count), $1K for tampering & $500 ($250 for each count) for nuisance. Bonded out, all Surety bonds @ $46,500 on 8/7/20. Violated bond conditions, back in jail 8/20/20. Bond denied (7/27/21) & denied bond (4/18/22).

1/17/23 Update: Wiggins appeared before Judge Lori A. Winstead & his case was continued. His defense attorney Cory Chastang said he & his client needed more time to prepare for a trial. A trial date has not been set. Next pretrial conference hearing on 3/7/23.
*Tony Lee J “TJ” Wiggins, Jr. (26/now 29) –Firearms & Murder: Status hearing on 3/10/23. Trial set to begin on 4/3/23 is continued. Battery & Aggravated charges: Pretrial hearings on 3/14/23. Battery on LE officer: Pretrial hearing on 3/14/23.
 
I just came across another YT recap from Sheriff Grady Judd from last week and it was refreshing on the eve of the trials for these monsters that killed the friends from Frostproof.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said a 19-year-old "self-proclaimed rapper" has been charged with first-degree murder.

I like Sheriff Grady Judd so much. He's very no nonsense.

*Case Management Hearing (murder) & Status Hearing (firearms) (@ 1:30pm ET) - FL – Damion Allen Tillman (23), Keven Michael Springfield (30) & Brandon Cyril Rollins (27) (July 17, 2020, Frostproof) - *Tony Lee J. “TJ” Wiggins, Jr. (26/now 29) aka John L. Wiggins arrested (7/21/20) & charged (7/23/20) & indicted (9/30/20) with 3 counts of 1st degree capital murder, tampering with evidence (F3), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (F-2) & possession of ammunition by a convicted felon (F-2). Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DA will seek DP.
Trial was set to begin on 4/3/23 with jury selection continued on 7/22/24.

1/17/23 Update: Wiggins appeared in court Friday before Judge J. Kevin Abdoney. His defense attorney Debra B. Tuomey had filed a motion to reschedule the 4/3/23 trial, which Judge Abdoney granted. The judge also set a status hearing for 8:15am on 1/27/23 to go over deadlines for both sides as they prepare their cases. A new trial date could also be set. 1/20/23: Notice of taking deposition. Status hearing was changed to Case Management hearing.
1/27/23 Update: Wiggins appeared Friday before Judge J. Kevin Abdoney, who chastised the defense for the slow pace of the case, but set a new trial date for 7/22/24. Prior to the judge's order, jury selection for what was anticipated to be a four-week trial was set to begin 4/3/23. Judge Abdoney also ordered a final list of defense experts be disclosed to the court within two months & their expert reports are due within three months of Friday’s hearing to give time for prosecutors & the defense to prepare for trial. Judge Abdoney did not rule on a change of venue requested Dec. 5, 2022 by defense attorney Debra Tuomey. To a reporter outside the courtroom, she said, “There is no way that TJ Wiggins would get a fair trial in this county.” The pretrial publicity in Mr. Wiggins Jr. homicide prosecution continues to be so great that attempts to obtain impartial jurors in Polk County for any criminal matter would be futile & a change of venue should be granted,” Tuomey said. In other filings, Tuomey said the defense has also asked the judge to suppress evidence collected following a search of the 0 Sarver Road residence in Frostproof, where the Wiggins family was living at the time of the killings. The judge did not rule on any of those motions regarding the Wiggins case at the status hearing. The next case management hearing in the case was set for 3/10/23 for murder charge & a status hearing for firearms possession at the Polk County Courthouse in Bartow.
*Arrested & charged (3/14/20) & arraigned (6/5/20) with 2nd degree aggravated battery (person uses a deadly weapon) & 3rd degree aggravated assault (deadly weapon w/o intent to kill). Plead not guilty. Bond $6K. Bonded out on 3/16/20. Bond was cancelled (7/22/20).
