I have searched to see what is going in trial - but only coming up with articles from 2018. Surprised there are no updates...

No opening statements last Friday? No idea about the jurors?

*Trial continues (Day 2) (@ 8:30am ET) – FL – Harley Don Hiatt, Jr. (2) (July 31, 2018, Davenport, Polk County; tortured to death) - *Christian Martell Thompson (26/now 31) “BF of mom” arrested (8/1/18), charged (7/31/18) & arraigned (8/3/18) with 1st degree murder, 1st degree aggravated child abuse, 1st degree aggravated manslaughter of a child & 2 counts of 2nd degree negligent child abuse. Plead not guilty. No bond. DA will seek DP. Will not seek DP (7/27/23).
Trial began on 8/28/23 for jury selection & Trial began on 9/1/23 continued on 9/5, 9/6, 9/7 & 9/11/23 - for Thompson only.

I'm not finding anything either. When I pull up the documents online, that are supposed to be viewable, there is a standard paragraph that the document must be reviewed manually prior to being posted. So their keeping everything quiet it seems?

Thanks for the updates on your previous post. I guess opening statements have not been done yet.

He was found guilty on some of the charges. It's on his inmate profile which is 9 pages long. I've PDF'd 2 pages at a time and left out page 9 because it doesn't provide relevant info.
