It bothers me that her killer is mentioned in the obituary. I suppose they had to but....ugh.
Yes, but notice her mother isn't listed.

And the bit about gift cards ...

All in all, I would have wished a more heartfelt tribute to little Izabella, may she rest in peace.

They did not have to list the killer and this man is not her father. Even in death this poor girl is being slighted.

Do we know for sure he isn't? I know we all assumed it, I've been looking for confirmation as to whether she and Fredrick shared a mother or a father. I thought it was the mom too. I'm just wondering if you have a source so I can confirm for myself? Thanks!

ETA: just had a thought... When mom went to jail did she give up her rights to Izzy, and Fred is maybe her adoptive father now?

Super creepy, white dress. No way was there ZERO indication this kid was "off" and perhaps ought not to have unfettered access to firearms.

Yeah...the white dress...how weird is that??

They didn't "have to"....why would they be required to mention him?

I'm not saying it's some sort of requirement or some law or something...haha. Just saying they probably felt they had to include her brother in the obituary.

Little late.. Anything new? She was adorable. What is this world coming to? I am terrified for my children.

Lochridge pleas to first degree murder in shooting death of younger sister
Fredrick Lochridge was just 15 when he shot and killed his 10-year-old sister Izabella Heffernan in February of 2016 near their home in Youngstown in northern Bay County. He'll be 65 once he gets out of prison after pleading "no contest" to first degree murder Tuesday.

The 50 year sentence must be served day-for-day. Lochridge will get credit for 343 days he's already served in jail. He'll also be on probation for 10 years after getting out of prison.
