Here's an article I have never seen -

Sept. 6, 2024
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Newly released documents in the case of the murder-for-hire plot to kill Jared Bridegan outline everything from comments made during a search of his ex-wife Shanna Gardner’s parents’ property in Washington to the defendants’ movements before and after the murder.
[.....]
According to a 250-page document from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, in the search of Gardner’s parents’ Washington home, it appears one of her children asked the special agent, “What are they looking for?”

“We’re looking for phones,” the document said the agent replied.

Though the person’s name was redacted in the document, they responded, “Like burner phones?”

The document then said the person told the special agent “that his mom keeps all her ‘important’ electronics in her ‘bedroom closet’” and then whispered “up above,” pointing toward the ceiling.

The document said investigators took cellphones, an Apple watch, sim cards and several laptops.

i hadn't seen this one either!!! Thanks @Niner ...
They didn't state whether those electronic items were, in fact, found in the attic space! I hope they did.
I STILL believe her parents knew more from the beginning... but I am sure they are to clever to be caught with anything.... (unless from secret electronics hiding in the ceiling spaces). moo.

And just seeing Baez on videos again........ boy do I hate the man's voice and manner.

What a find! Kids are so smart and retain info well. They pick up on everything! Unfortunately, it would not surprise me if child(ren) may have heard too much about the planning of the crime. moo

Other present: Alan Mizrahi & Stephen Seigel (ASA); Patrick Korody, Rosemarie Peoples & Armando Luis for Gardner's defense & attorney for Saldana is Jesse Nolan Dreicer & James hill & Shannon Day for defense. Court Order granting defendant's Motions for Protective Order & Order establishing a filter procedure for electronic evidence. Richardson hearing held in full; taken under advisement; Order to be entered. Gardner’s attorneys continue to argue that she should be released on bond ahead of her trial. They are also arguing Friday for certain evidence to be thrown out before the trial because lead attorney Jose Baez accused prosecutors of not turning over “critical evidence” to the defense. Baez said much of the motion surrounds incidents & testimony that took place during Gardner’s bond hearing, known as an Arthur Hearing, on 5/15/24. She was denied bond at that hearing, but Baez accused the State Attorney’s Office of withholding favorable evidence & said Detective Chris Johns lied under oath. Next pretrial hearing on 9/23/24 @ 8:30am.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Attorneys for Shanna Gardner, who is accused of plotting with her new husband to have her ex-husband killed in 2022, wanted the case against her dismissed. They also asked if the case wasn’t dismissed that Gardner be released on bond.

Judge London Kite denied those requests on Monday, but ruled “without prejudice” and told the defense they could bring up the issues in their motion again if new information came to light.
[…]

Judge Kite OK’d a motion from the defense to compel the prosecution to hand over a list of records/people it subpoenaed who are out of state.

Kite did not rule on a motion the defense filed requesting a transcript of a detective’s grand jury testimony.

The next court hearing will be Oct. 2.

Kite is asking the defense and state to agree on a jury selection date and other key dates, so they can find a final date for the trial.

Never thought she would get out on bond but glad to hear the Judge deny that.
Yes, and glad to see this is the case @nodamselindistress !

And frankly, IMO it is pleasing that SG felt the need (with IIRC some monies from family?) to leave (or flea) the Florida area and move to a new residence on the west coast. IANAL but have to think that act also contributes to defendant SG being a flight risk. And that results in her staying behind bars.

IMO have to also wonder what other role the family and monies seem to play in the defense of the evil and unnecessary act of killing the ex husband? In terms of familial ‘support’, it is hard not to compare some of the actions here with the case of Nadia Cole and Aaron Aung. SMH. MOO
