Murdered 17 years ago, Mike Williams will finally be laid to rest in Tallahassee

For the second time in 17 years, people who knew and loved Jerry Michael “Mike” Williams will gather to honor his memory.
[.....]
And in contrast to the Feb. 11, 2001, memorial service at Thomasville Road Baptist Church, William’s wife Denise won’t be sitting mournfully in a pew. She’ll be in a jail cell, awaiting trial, accused of masterminding his killing and helping to cover it up for nearly two decades.

A funeral service will be held for Mike Williams at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 2351 Mahan Drive.

Denise Williams’ attorney next week will take a deposition from the man who said she conspired with him to kill her husband Mike Williams and conceal the crime for more than 17 years.

Brian Winchester will be afforded the same immunity from murder charges that prompted him to detail shooting his best friend in the head, reveal Denise Williams' purported involvement in the plot and lead investigators to his body along the shores of Carr Lake in October. The discovery was revealed publicly in December.

Winchester cut the deal before being sentenced to 20 years in prison for the 2016 armed kidnapping of Denise Williams, who at the time was his estranged wife. The two married five years after Mike Williams vanished and divorced in 2017.

Brian Winchester's immunity to carry over to defense deposition in Mike Williams murder

Williams, 48, will go before a jury on Dec. 10. on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and accessory after the fact in the December 2000 murder of the 31-year-old father and Tallahassee real estate appraiser. She was arrested at her office at Florida State University in May after a lengthy investigation and an indictment by a Leon County grand jury.

Denise Williams' murder trial set for December

And neither article said anything about pretrial hearings before trial.... Can anyone access Leon County court site & see if there are any pretrial hearings scheduled?

TIA! :)

Just watched 48 hours. Still processing. Any initial thoughts on her guilt/innocence? And his imo ridiculous immunity?
