Fort Pierce woman reported missing

Jessica King, 26, of Fort Pierce, was reported missing by her brother on July 3. King's brother said she was last seen getting into a Dodge pickup while under the influence of "Molly".

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a body was found Thursday afternoon in the Lakewood Park area of Fort Pierce.

The body was discovered at about 2 p.m. in a wooded area near the intersection of Pensacola Avenue and Fort Pierce Boulevard, north of the Fort Pierce city limit, Sheriff Ken Mascara said in a statement.

St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office live streamed a press conference earlier today. An autopsy was conducted on the body found over the weekend and based on a tattoo on the body and a necklace the victim was wearing, LE believes it to be Jessica King.

A definitive identification based on DNA is forthcoming, but the sheriff said that is just a formality. A final cause of death will be determined once final toxicology analysis has been completed, which will take 8-10 weeks.

Foul play is not suspected, as there were no physical signs of trauma on the body.

she looks like she served two years and the father is still locked up and she was dead a month after she was out. very sad life. RIP now.
