Details of Disappearance
John Thomas Watson, who also goes by the nickname “JT” Watson, is 6’3”, with brown hair, brown eyes, numerous tattoos, and weighs approximately 200 lbs. He was 38 years old. He was last seen on August 8th, 2015 in Defuniak Springs, Florida.John was released from prison on July 1st, 2015. He had been staying with family and occasionally staying in local motels in DeFuniak Springs since his release. He purchased two used vehicles in August of 2015. He was seen on Friday, August 7th, at 8 p.m., driving a 1997 black Mitsubishi Mirage in DeFuniak Springs. He was last seen at 1:47 a.m. on August 8th, 2015 pulling out of a Walmart parking lot and taking his friend home a few minutes away.
He paid for a room for one night at Adams Motel in DeFuniak Springs on the 7th, but it is unknown if he used the room or not. He did not show up at his place of employment or for scheduled doctor’s appointments. The last activity on his bank account and EBT card was on the day he disappeared. His family states that he suffers from seizures and was not taking any medication at the time of his disappearance.
Because he was under conditional release at the time, he's classified as an absconder in addition to being a missing person.
