I can not believe they were watching the same trial.

Don't compromise. Hang so we can get him the next time.

PLEASE!

Well, wouldn't he need a police report to get his insurance company to repair the Durango? He had some pretty significant damage to his SUV!!

ETA: I guess I should say his aunt's SUV.
Minimum insurance coverage in Florida doesn't include damage to your vehicle, and this was what, a 2002 Durango? Usually not cost effective in FL to cover a vehicle older than 10 with full coverage unless it's a collector's model.

I missed most of that, live feed was in limbo, and pages here slow to load for me. Thank goodness for YouTube. :tantrum: Gosh, I hope the Allen charge works on them!

It makes sense they split the decision though, right? Probably finding MD Guilty on the attempted murder charges.

I would think it's fairly reasonable to not agree on M1 vs M2, so I'd think the attempted murders are pretty obvious. So yes.

OTOH, the questions this morning scare me! Clearly someone thinks it's self defense. What that person would think on attempted murder is scary. Surely all the other jurors couldn't agree with NG on that, though? That would make no sense!

I would rather them just walk away and go back and do it again..

Then someone needs to school Angela And Guy on getting this right.

hung on murder, G on the rest. he's going away for a long time.

I respectfully disagree. If they're hung on murder, and vote on a lesser charge, he could very well be released on time served. I still doubt there were no guns in the teen car, and the gun was never found in subsequent searches I would have to find reasonable doubt on that alone.

Question-
If they can not agree on Murder 1, does it mean they would likely have all agreed on NG for Murder 2?
What I mean is, is there a choice between the 2? Is it either one or the other? Or can he be convicted of BOTH?

Am I making sense? (thinking NO :scared:)
The way it's being worded in the media is they are hung on murder one and the lesser charges. In other words they are hung on 1st degree, and the lesser chargers of 2nd degree and manslaughter. That's my take. Anyone else?

Jury further tells judge they are deadlocked on the murder charge as well as the lesser included charges #DunnTrial #MichaelDunn

No; the judge made it clear that the jury stated they were deadlocked on "all lesser included" offenses.

How could they have come to agreement on other charges....and at the same say they have don't have consensus on first charge AND lessor charges???

Doesn't make sense.

O'Mara just said on CNN (paraphrasing) has to be not guilty on other counts because if it was guilty lessers would not pertain

Had to leave for about a half hour --- WHAT is happening? Was an Allen charge given? Can't decide on murder count 1? We may have to go through this again? i just can't believe this!

nothing about this jury is making sense to me :(

It could be just one person who does not understand self-defense. The law really needs some fine tuning because it is being represented that very little actual threat needs to be evident, just that if you feel there is a threat.

If you are in an argument and someone reaches in their pocket for their cell phone to call 911 and the other person thinks they are reaching for a gun they have a reasonable fear for their life....or do they? The defendant is always going to say they were threatened and unless there are witnesses the defendant will say it was self-defense. MD has had too many versions. Wait till the jurors hear these tapes and read the letters. jmo
