His daughter, Alexis Close, says the last location the Lee County Sheriff's Office was able to ping his cell phone was off Tucker's Grade in Charlotte County.

"Since then, his phone is off. No credit card activity. No mobile phone activity. No sightings," Alexis said.

Three years ago, Close fell and hit his head and suffered a brain bleed. Alexis said ever since, he's been forgetful and gets easily lost. She's afraid someone took advantage of her father's friendliness or the fact that he had cash and a new car.

Hey all!!! I am still in Florida searching for missing Kelvin Close. I have not found anything. I am in touch with the family and as far as I know the family indicated that the Knox County UID is not Kelvin Close. Something did dawn on me. There is an active serial killer in Florida however I need to search where. Basically it appears Mr. Close and his car have disappeared off the face of the earth. I suggested to the Close family to seek out all video and CCTV cameras where he could have possibly been. I'm very familiar with the statistics as the hours and days progress and in my opinion I believe dive teams should become active immediately. I will continue to search until LEA shows much more of a presence. If anyone reads this thank you. I cannot stress enough that I am not seeking any recognition or gainful monetary means. I will be back at it during daylight. Thank you...Mike

I hate to post this because it may not be the outcome that is hoped for-

People searching for him found the car:
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - The search for a Lee County man missing since September led to the discovery of a body inside a submerged car Saturday afternoon.

No positive ID yet but seems pretty likely to be him. :(

Sadly although it's necessary to communicate and update cases. Some of you know I took it upon myself to use my own resources to search for Mr. Close not even knowing the family. This was not the outcome I expected due to past situations I personally went through. Nobody will understand but I am grieving also...tears first. I'm not giving up on other cases and will be back at it soon Thank buoy for posting the find...Mike.
