Lucetta Mary Alice Starkie – The Charley Project
Lucetta was last seen at her residence in Walnut Hill, Florida on July 3, 1985. She was living in the Bay Springs community with Andrew Starkie, her husband of 28 years. She has never been heard from again. Andrew did not report her disappearance to police. Her sister, Christine Sparks, who lived in West Virginia, reported Lucetta as a missing person on August 31, 1985.

Sparks stated Lucetta's marriage had been difficult and she was often on the brink of divorce. Sparks said Andrew gave her multiple conflicting accounts about Lucetta's disappearance, and also told multiple stories to the neighbors to explain where she had gone.

Authorities believe Starkie was a victim of violence and his now deceased, although her body has never been located. She worked as a cosmetics salesperson at the time of her disappearance. Her case remains unsolved.

It is very clear in this case that it was the husband who made up silly stories about where his wife was... I don't think it was a wealthy woman... What was the motive? To get her out of the house? Bored of her? Maybe she knew some secret about her husband? Or just spite... Maybe he was having an affair and she was a hindrance in his way? Why not just ask her to leave or leave him? Why kill her so stupidly? Surely the guy continued with his affair without anyone bothering him and his wife, perhaps where he left her or how he killed her...
Whatever the case
Rest in peace
