its a bit haunting,
its a bit haunting,
I do too, it feels emotional . might not be a connection to SS maybe the crush? the crush that didnt really reciprocate. when I listen to " Ive got my eyes on you " it brings back what I thought before, that maddi developing feelings for a boy, discovered what it felt like to like someone , and that made her even sicker about what SS was doing and pushed him away. just a hunch, IMOThey're super melodramatic lyrics that would appeal to teens a lot (but I like Lana too).
Mom of teen here, it's a popular song as a dance track. My teen whizzes around like Simone Bilies. I really do not think the lyrics meant anything, now when it comes to the lyrics, Taylor Swift is the one referenced. Yeah youre probably right', it was just a shot in the dark if it would have any meaning at all.Mom of teen here, it's a popular song as a dance track. My teen whizzes around like Simone Bilies. wasnt the majority of the abuse occurring in the summer, the associated date of pics/videos recovered? trying to find that initial list with that date data. Both Lana Del Rey lyrics FWIW.
Summertime Sadness is her most popular song of all time and Say Yes To Heaven ("I've got my eye on you") is her most popular unreleased song.
The song has 1.5 billion (yes, billion) Spotify plays so I wouldn't read too much into the quotes. The alleged sexual content is definitely concerning.wasnt the majority of the abuse occurring in the summer, the associated date of pics/videos recovered? trying to find that initial list with that date data.
That’s because Taylor Swift is an amazingly talented lyricist (and that’s not sarcasm).Mom of teen here, it's a popular song as a dance track. My teen whizzes around like Simone Bilies. Like that’s another thing that really bothers me about this case. Maddie was picking up all these mental health buzzwords — like “overstimulated” —to describe her feelings without even knowing what they meant. This was proven when she couldn’t explain those feelings to her counselor. And if I had to guess, I’d bet my life savings that she was being fed that stuff by her mom. And I remember one of her friends said something in an interview to the effect of MS “was starting to show signs of bipolar” (which is utter BS if you ask me).great post. "she didnt make it" *gawd*
What I note from the interviews is one of the teachers.....Italo Brett....he pulled up the app for "Talking Points' which is an app for parents to use with teachers, he says quicker than EMAIL.....at 5:36pm JS contacted him via the app and he reads it to the investigator "Hi, Madeline didnt make it to school today, she hasnt made it home today'. he replied back at 5:53pm and advised JS she wasnt in any classes and then he informed the necessary school personnel. and then he contacted JS again around 6:20pm asking if she was found and was told they were waiting on the police.
the time JS contacted him......seems like this was after she contacted Madeline's friend and this was simply confirming the friend's info with the teacher by virtue of her telling HIM she didnt make it to school. he then checked.
again, why didnt she pull out of the car line and go inside the school to check for Madeline at pickup? <---Im still hung up on that piece, Ill never get past that.
Counselor: as of her last session with Madeline on Feb 6, Madeline said things at home were so much better. (geez wonder why). prior to that, she stated Madeline discussed primarily anxiety and panic attacks and 'being overstimulated' but couldnt fully articulate specifically why. prior to that, after one of her sessions with Madeline and seeing the drawings Madeline had drawn at her suggestion to express herself, she was concerned because she was out of school for a few days after that, and she contacted JS. she was told by JS Madeline was sick and she was taking her to the doctor....when the drawings were discussed, JS said Madeline was seeing a therapist once a week, therefore the counselor thru that conversation with JS, felt Madeline's emotional wellbeing was being addressed.
it should be noted the podcasters do have those drawings thru the FOIA but will only describe them due to her being a minor.....there were sexual in nature drawings among them and one saying summertime sadness (IIRC), another one saying I got my eye on you. very disturbing.
seems like JS waved away the counselor so she wouldnt escalate her concern and ultimately accepted JS's bs.
overall, Madeline was a child struggling emotionally, physically and academically but she did not confide in anyone what was really happening in her home while SS was living there, other than an angry screaming mother and SS who she admitted at some point she didnt like him, called him weird, and he made her feel uncomfortable. it appears she had alot of school nurse visits as well. wondering if JS was contacted.
also, Im very curious if Madeline was really seeing a therapist once a week. and was Madeline diagnosed with asthma. as many pointed out, why didnt JS ever mention Madeline's inhaler? and most importantly, if we will ever know, her toxicology.....
Agreed. The way JS says MS "never made it" to school consistently always struck me as odd phrasing. Also, Jen seemed to glitch in one of her earlier interviews with media. Scroll to the 50 second mark below... "I don't know if something happened... on ... her... walk along the way or she got taken but she never made it."One last thing tonight that I gleaned from the audio posted on GHI. Again, I don't have time stamps and I really apologize for that. I know it's annoying.
I find it very strange that JS continually refers to Maddie as "not making it"
She says Maddie's friend told her that MS didn't make it to first period. No child talks like that. They would say she wasn't in first period.
JS went back to Y's office to see if she'd shown up there and according to her, they said she didn't make it.
There are many other examples, but this consistent wording has leapt out to me. Where are regular phrases like: she didn't show up, she never arrived, she was absent--but almost always "SHE DIDN'T MAKE IT?"
I don't know if JS was complicit in Maddie's murder, but there's no doubt in my mind any longer, after having listened to these audios, that she is 100% complicit in trying to help SS cover things up.
MOO of course.
I lived with childhood asthma (now well controlled) and as we discuss MS not being safe and prioritized in her own home — I was struck by recently released LE photos (GHI) — neither Maddie’s “room” nor her mother’s have decor/furnishings suitable for a person with asthma or other respiratory allergies — clutter everywhere to collect dust, unmade beds, and lots of blankets and soft toys (can’t recall if there is carpet, another no-no). Not to mention at least one dog and cat are in the household — both usually big-time allergens who also carry pollen into the home. Additionally, people with asthma are often worse — more frequent and prolonged attacks — when they are living under stress. All to further my anguish over a little girl who was seemingly not a priority to her parents and didn’t get what she needed. MOO. >> My source is personal experience and the counsel of my physicians.great post. "she didnt make it" *gawd*

Bolding for focus. What came to mind to me was a conversation he had with an ex-GF. He fished for favorable (to him) reactions. He got none with the ex (she left him after the convo below), but it appears he didn't get the same reacation with JS as he did with his ex. Hence him moving in. All MOO!It’s interesting he ended up with a woman who thinks that child rape is not evil. I wonder how that topic came up, or if SS just sensed JS would not protect Maddie.
Obviously MOO
I believe Maddie grandmother over SS ANY day! And from what I know, she had reason to dislike him. JMO
- JS said (in May) that SS wasn't invited to the birthday party because JS's mom didn't like him. (50) This is in contrast to SS's explanation that he didn't make it there in time.
- This comes from after his arrest, but I find it interesting how they give consistently different explanations of their relationship and things that have happened
No. I've seen others do it and find it WEIRD. (Note that I'm not a cell phone user and feel like they have them superglued to their hands and can't put them down)anyone else find it strange they ARE TEXTING EACH OTHER, one floor apart from each other that nite?
Messaging each other in the same house is totally a thing, imo. I think a comedian and his wife built a whole podcast on this phenomenon. (I think it was Patton Oswalt?)No. I've seen others do it and find it WEIRD. (Note that I'm not a cell phone user and feel like they have them superglued to their hands and can't put them down)
the 'crush' .....SS and JS making a point about how Madeline is 'open' with them about her interest in a boy...IMO, not credible as in a mother/daughter heart to heart about her boy 'interest'. if anything, it was a blowup conversation of some sort with one or both of them. IMOI do too, it feels emotional . might not be a connection to SS maybe the crush? the crush that didnt really reciprocate. when I listen to " Ive got my eyes on you " it brings back what I thought before, that maddi developing feelings for a boy, discovered what it felt like to like someone , and that made her even sicker about what SS was doing and pushed him away. just a hunch, IMO
To keep people from walking in when you don't want anyone walking in. It's not like it's a keyed lock that you lock when you leave the room, it's to lock people out when you're inside.
This seems odd to me. Sorry if it's been addressed... I'm catching up.
- D says at 3:19 the dogs were barking a “war bark” and staring at the window. Says she looked around a bit through the windows but didn’t see anything and figured it was just a critter.
In one of those interviews, D was crying, saying " he couldn't get in" and Now I cant remember why, something was locked that normally wasnt I think. I'll try to find it.This seems odd to me. Sorry if it's been addressed... I'm catching up.
I get that the dogs would do a "war bark" if someone was on the property, but as it appears it was SS, why lurk around? Why not enter the house, or knock, or make their presence known? That was a long drive to make to do something stealthily without making your presence known in the middle of the night. What was he doing and where? The garage? Parents car? Somewhere on the property? It's just odd.
Bolding by me for focus.
- 2:13:15 - D says SS was not allowed to discipline MS, and that JS did that. Said if you’d asked her on Sunday she wouldn’t have thought SS was capable of killing MS. If she had to guess she’d think it was an accident. Then starts going into a weird thing about her being Irish again.
- “I think, if I had to, if I had to put forward a guess, I would think that it was accidental. I think that….I know it’s stupid, and yes I’m Irish, and yes I’ve had dreams that are pregnant–precognition, yes they come true. But I did have a dream. And in that dream. They were in Stephan’s room, and, and, Maddie’s room. Unclothed. Jen came in to wake her up. Was confronted by the fact that they were together in a way they shouldn’t have been. And I think a struggle ensued, and she either hit or head or broke her neck. Something. I don’t think it was, it was, couldn’t have been a gunshot because everybody would have heard it, I think stabbing you would have found blood. So that’s the only thing I can think. And that, then, as, she would have told Stephan, and in my dream [unclear] this is all your fault, you, you caused this, this is all your fault, you have to fix it.”
