That is the only article that I could find as well, kind of surprising that no more interest is in this case. I believe that Cheyanne and Mark was involved in a argument, and it went wrong from there, I don't see that it was an intentional action on Cheyanne's part, I also can see where Meredith could have tried to break it up. I don't trust cops statements a lot of time, to many times I feel they find who they want to accuse, and work on finding evidence to support that, and not looking for evidence that would rule it out. To many cases are out there, where this has happened. Appreciate all the updates, got to go to the records search and check out some of the new listings.

to WS & this thread The Other Opinion!

Hope you find something about what's going on with this trial. I too am surprised there is no one reporting on this....

BBM.

So you think she accidentally killed her Dad, and Daughter? Then placed the bodies in totes and hid them?

Right.

Nobody knows what they would do in any situation, look at the Shayna Hubers case, she did what she should have done, she called 911, but the police never believed her, it has got so bad that you don't know if you should call the police or not, I think this just overwhelmed Cheyanne and she didn't know what to do, I wonder if the boyfriend didn't have more to do with this than Cheyanne, the hiding the bodies part. Everyone just automatically picks a side like the news media does and don't want to look at anything, except what they believe happened. My name explains that I often look on the other side, because I want to see cases from both sides and keep a open mind to maybe the police and investigators could possibly lie. I don't deny you the right to have your opinion, I just want to feel free to have a different opinion.

I am absolutely the one who's generally playing devil's advocate here. I actually work for a defense attorney, so I'm always trying to point out the other side.

However, I just don't see it here. I can understand a fight getting out of control, sure. I just don't understand also killing your own child so brutally, then just disposing of them. I just can't get past that unless you needed decomposition to occur in order to hide evidence.

Please provide some evidence for your assertions. As the evidence so far provided shows she murdered her dad, small child, and then hid the bodies in attempt to evade justice.

Wonder if anyone found anything for Day 2 - Tuesday July 2nd?

I've looked and not finding anything....

TIA if you find something! :)

Edited to add: I would like to know "who" they witnesses were. And if they are LE or "whatever". Thanks! Hopefully I can access the link you provide!

Thank you for checking MsFacetious! :)

In the alternative, Clearwater defense lawyer Jervis Wise, representing Jessie, sought to have news cameras barred from the trial. Circuit Judge Jalal Harb denied both requests, but barred media photographers from taking photographs or videos of items on the prosecution or defense tables. The only exception, he said, would be items that are evidence in the trial. State witnesses: Jason McPherson, a homicide detective with the Polk County Sheriff's office. Sgt. I feel like I need to keep notes like you Niner. I can't remember what I'm following and what I'm not.

Can you search twitter? If you can that will help you greatly. Many news sites post there when they post an article. So I go and search for Cheyanne Jessie, or Cheyeanne Jessie trial in addition to google.

I'll try and stay on top of trials this week while we are home sick and packing earthquake bags.

I actually don't "have" twitter - but since you will be searching - I'll leave it to you! :D

Hope you feel better and I believe your son too?! :)

I looked at the court site and they today 7/8 & 7/9 scheduled for trial.

You don't have to "have" twitter to search twitter... though, having twitter has been well worth it. Anonymously of course! 3/4 of us are down for the count now, hopefully we are better before the little dude's birthday next week!

It's hard to believe that this woman was killing her child while I was bringing mine into the world.

I am covering the double murder trial of Cheyenne Jessie today. This morning her murdered father’s landlord testified that Jessie had told her that she had communicated with her father after the date he had apparently been killed.

Day 3 of Trial for Lakeland Woman Accused of Killing Daughter, Father

“Was that having an impact on your relationship” (with Jessie)? Wallace asked.
“Yes,” said Munroe. “I told her, ‘We’ve got to figure out a way that both of you can be happy.’ She said, ‘I’ll look into it’.”

Wallace: “Were you rethinking” the relationship?

Munroe: “Yes. I gave her a ring. I was thinking about (marriage). (But) I told her I needed some time to think about it. She was upset.”

Munroe said that at his urging, Jessie and Meredith returned to live with Weekly for several weeks, but when they returned to his camper the fighting continued between mother and daughter.

“I asked her, ‘What do you want to do?’ She brought up, maybe adoption.”

Jessie never seriously pursued adopting out her daughter, Munroe said, but she did get her father to agree to keep Meredith as long as he received monetary assistance.

Jessie never followed up with her dad’s offer, Munroe said.

Wallace presented evidence at Monday’s trial showing text messages that Munroe has said he received, thinking they were from Weekly, relating how he was dying of cancer and had taken Meredith to Georgia to live out his days.

Prosecutors have said that the texts were really from Jessie, who used her father’s phone.

Some of the texts were made on July 22, 2015, several days after detectives suspect Weekly and Meredith were killed.
