Florida Fish and Wildlife found a human body part around 11 a.m., police reported Monday. On Tuesday, they announced there were "additional dismembered body parts" recovered along the shoreline of the lake, police said.
The crime scene stretched across the southern shoreline from the boat ramp to the west edge of the lake, according to police.
The victim died as a result of a homicide, police said.
While the person has not been identified, police believe the body was that of a black woman in her early 30s between 5'7'' to 5'10'' tall and weighing more than 200 pounds. She was wearing a green tank top.
