The articles say he checked his luggage for the flight that was canceled. I wonder if he got it back or if the airline still has it. Just curious to know whether he has all his luggage or only whatever he uses as his carry-on bag. I don't remember if articles have mentioned whether he takes any medications, but I assume if he does, he'd have them in his carry-on.

"Bailey spent the night at a local hotel and checked out the following morning," the police department said on X. "However, he did not take a flight home."

"He could have possibly taken another airline," Bailey Jr., told the outlet. “But he hasn’t shown up at home. We’ve had people check his house."

If he's on adventure, is his transaction history telling a story? Just the one Wendy's? Is he the sort to also carry cash? Where is he eating? Is he staying at those locations? Booking hotels? Charges consistent with someone on the move?

Victim of secondary foul play? Wallet stolen? Someone else is on the move? Using the card for just the basics?

Is PTSD a concern? Former military. The stress of travel, cancelation, lost phone -- triggering?

He has to be somewhere. Breaks my heart to think of him in possible distress.

His age and traveling alone probably puts him at additional risk. Plus, his sister said he wasn't quite himself, so that must add to the worry. It seems he's navigated fairly well: checking into and out of hotel when flight was canceled, catching shuttle back to airport, buying bus ticket, etc. Losing his phone is a negative, of course, but at least as a truck driver, he's a very experienced traveler. Hoping the very best for PB and that his unplanned for bus trip isn't too stressful, or even dangerous.

Channel 9 spoke to Patrick Bailey II, son of Bailey, who confirmed that detectives have identified Bailey at multiple stops across the country.

Detectives have determined Bailey is on a bus that is headed to Grants Pass, Oregon which is near where he lives in Northern California.

A bolo for Patrick Bailey is active in the area.

Okay! So he's on the bus. Kind of strange they can't contact him through the driver (??), but sounds like they are confident he is heading home.

Planes, trains and automobiles, what a jolly story he'll have to tell -- and probably none too excited about the attention. Looks like he found another way home, avoiding airports altogether. Hope he makes the last leg safely -- I vote for an escorts home in a squad car or firetruck.

Hope this will be the happiest of endings. We don't get good ones very often around WS --

Here's to hoping he'd back in his own home soon!

I can definitely see him being embarrassed by the attention and (to him) the possible overreaction by his family…. Fingers crossed for a safe return home.
Me too. I can picture my dad being very surprised (and maybe angry), saying, "Why are you worried? I am capable of riding on a bus for Pete's sake."

I hope that is the case here, and it seems it might be.

Found safe! :)

The family said that he decided to return home via bus and didn't realize there would be an investigation into his whereabouts.

Bailey is said to be healthy and in good spirits.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Channel 9 has spoken to Patrick Bailey’s daughter Anastasia Quanbeck and she confirmed that her father has been located.

“In the days after his flight from Orlando, Florida to Medford, Oregon was cancelled due to a widespread communication outage, our father decided to return home by bus and began the long journey back without realizing anyone would be worried about his whereabouts. He is healthy and in good spirits.” said Quanbeck.

Quanbeck thanked the Orlando Police Department, members of the Crescent City Elks Lodge #1689, the Orlando media and the thousands on social media that helped find her
