Boone's attorney said the jail would not let her wear her own shoes and she currently has jail flip flops on.
Judge says there are privacy panels located in front of counsel's table and the jury should not be able to see #SarahBoone's feet today. Judge will provide an order to the jail that after today she can wear her own shows.

Judge would like 4 alternates but if they can get more he'd like that.
Judge confirms the court is closed Wednesday and they are waiting to see about Thurs/Fri. Jurors that pass the initials rounds today and tomorrow will be told to call a phone indicating if they are to return Thurs, Fri or next week.
Judge says he moved the trial from two weeks to three weeks because of his concern to seat a jury due to publicity. This means he does not think they are getting a jury in one day.

The parties have moved to face the gallery as jury selection begins.

Judge had a long sidebar. He confirmed the court will be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week and Friday is unknown. Due to concerns of jurors doing what they need to do to prepare for the hurricane, he has postponed jury selection until next Monday, Oct. 14.
Well, lah-dee-dah, then.
Hope she gets the max.
That video (I could only watch for a few seconds with the sound turned off & had to quit) and this case is chilling and disgusting ... she watched a man slowly die and was flippant about it.

Just saw that Sara Boone rejected a plea deal of 15 years for manslaughter! That would be a great sentence for her! With time served that would be around 10 years.
That tape of Jorge struggling in the suitcase calling for help from her while she laughed at him--she's going to be found guilty in my opinion and sentenced to life in prison--and she rejected 15 years! I can't believe it!

I wonder when that plea deal was offered. 15 years. Time served, what 75% of that probably? She'd be halfway done already.
Ah, but she's found fame in jail, in her head mainly.
Guessing all 57 of attorneys told her to take the deal --
Including the current one.
Can the judge double her sentence for killing someone, having remorse for no one, and wasting everyone's time?
